You'll be there for what, three hours? Nobody notices what men wear, anyway. I'll bet some clods will show up in blue suits with buttoned-down blue shirts, rep ties, and rubber-soled shoes. Most men wearing tuxedos at black tie optional parties seem vaguely uncomfortable in a "my wife or girlfriend or crush on the chat board made me do this" kind of way, anyway.

Besides, don't you think it would be highly inconsistent for a man with a roommate to be springing for a tux?

After the New Year, begin your search for a nice tuxedo. Take advantage of a good sale and get yourself a bargain. You should own a tuxedo, but you need not run out and buy one today.

It made just over $19 million over the four day weekend, less than Cold Mountain, and much less than Lord of the Rings, but about what the so-called "industry experts" expected. So that just about covers Ben's paycheck. I don't think too many people will be signing Senor Lopez to $15M+ contracts anymore, but maybe they will. There's always another sucker around the corner.
