If I had to do high school again, I would have gone after the theater girls instead of the cheerleaders. They had better taste in music, and since they tended not to date football players, I probably wouldn't have gotten my ass kicked quite as often.

Cheerleaders were the worst. All the hangups of upper-middle America, so they were hard to get, uptight during, and paranoid after. Best were the ski team, followed by the theater types.

If your HS was anything like mine, the theater girls* were too involved with all-consuming crushes on the theater guys, who obviously liked the girls very much, and loved hanging out, but for some mysterious reason, just never seemed that interested in fooling around.

*The theater girls who weren't fucking the drama teacher to get the plum roles, that is.
