It has come to my attention that I am contributing nothing to the board today other than telling NCS what entertainment products she should and should not consume.

That is all.

It's wrong, FWIW. It refers to Jeff Galloway.

I don't understand why Flower doesn't embrace my elitist running attitude - one would think that he typically masturbates to such snobbery.
I clearly have fantasy football on the brain, because I read this as Joey Galloway and was about to rant about benching him this week. I obviously should have benched Roy Williams instead. Why can' there be some system for predicting which wide receiver will be conked in the head during the first quarter and will have to leave the game?

*no, not your pre-jac. Rather, I'll accept your mini-orgasm response to my snobbery as a victory since I've never even gotten an FBetty moist on these boards. A gay victory, but a victory nonetheless.
Too slow on the edit. I have already FedExed you the mildly sticky boxers I was wearing today.

I'm supposed to read a book about fucking Salt so I can learn a historical tidbit that I learned in 3d grade?

Nice win, there. Godspeed.

[And thank f'in god I didn't but those $400 ALCS tix assuming a Yanks-A's game 4]

As for us:

1) Firing Torre is an okay move - ONLY if they hire Girardi. Bringing in Pinella is a recipe for disaster with this team. DISASTER!!!! I understand the need for someone less laid back - Torre completely mismanaged pitching in Game 1 and should have started Melky in Game 3 - but Lou ain't the answer, especially when Mattingly and Guidry will have more sway with the veterans (not to mention the fans) from Day 1. If they name Lou, Cashman, Donnie Baseball and Gator should quit.

2) A-Rod, while not the prime reason for our fade-out, is the face of it. He's gotta go, even if it means we pay the other half of his salary (that Texas isnt already paying). The SF Giants or the Angels would love him. Bring up Eric Duncan. Play Miguel Cairo. Whatever. Just get rid of the trauma.

3) Sign Mussina. Thank Sheffield and say goodbye. Draft a catcher. And thank god that Boston will still end up in third next year behind Toronto.

Alas. Harumph.

Go Jets! Go Rangers! Go Sharks! Go Nittany Lions! Go Golden Bears!
I'll trade you Bengie Molina at $7M for A-Rod. You guys eat the salary difference.

The misspelling undercut the burn potential. Here is a perfect example of where mental discipline could have turned a rambling and somewhat embarrassing post into a Total Burn for the ages.

Can't help you there. But I can help the Dallas and coaching staff by letting them know how horrible Drew Bledsoe is. He sucks ass. He has to be in the top three of the worst quarterbacks in the league. How does any NFL quarterback hold the ball for as long as he does? It's like he's a little bit retarded. He can see his guy open, but he says to himself, "Oh. I should throw it to that guy. Wait for it...One thousand one, one thousand two...Don't rush it," and then BAM he's on his back, without the ball, wondering what happened.

When he does get the pass off, he's waited so long that his arm gets hit.

When his arm doesn't get hit, he underthrows the ball by 30 feet or forgets which color his team is wearing that day.

Absolutely terrrible.

Thurgreed hit it on the head when he noted that Torre played conservative and scared once Matsui and Sheff came back. As flat as they were in Game 2, I would have started Melky and Craig Wilson just to get some speed. Whatever. They need to dump A-Rod and Sheffield, keep going with the youth movement (a la Cano, Melky), see if Duncan can hit, and bring up Hughes mid year.
ESPN's magazine had a big piece a few weeks back about how speed is essential in the playoffs (the issue with Reyes on the cover). They ranked the 8 playoff teams (9 actually, because they included the Phils, I guess at press time they were still in it) on the basis of team speed. The Mets were #1. The Tigers, A's and Cardinals were #s 7-9.

I think the Tigers have another 8 wins in them.

You might find mine to be a bit roomy in the crotch area for you.

Flower wears adult diapers, so his underwear get stretched out in the crotch and the butt. Keep it quiet.
