I've seen far worse in political campaigns, on both sides of the aisle. Your pals at the DNC don't live in the same namby-pamby world of faux-intellectual polically correctness that their sheeple do. At least not when it comes to flim flamming the electorate.

Senator X is squeaky clean. He wouldn't allow anything like that. Plus, when I worked for him we were still ignoring al Queda.

spot on. parenthetically, the Senator sat on the committee that greenlighted clinton's hand off of missile technology to the Chicoms. I advised against the give away.

I hate to interrupt your Gaston and Alphonse routine

but how do you feel about the fact that arms sales to China have continued under this administration? As well as the sale of F-14 spare parts to Iran?

Take a look here:Fighter jet parts and other sensitive U.S. military gear seized from front companies for Iran and brokers for China have been traced in criminal cases to a surprising source: the Pentagon.

My personal favorite:
  • In one case, convicted middlemen for Iran bought Tomcat parts from the Defense Department's surplus division. Customs agents confiscated them and returned them to the Pentagon, which sold them again -- customs evidence tags still attached -- to another buyer, a suspected broker for Iran.

Sometimes. I'd like them better if I could bill the time.

In addition to anti-bias training and learning some contriteness, you should also learn to multi-task.

Otoh, Adder should just get back to billing, he doesn't have the juice to be posting here and goofing off at work. FWIW, I am meeting with a young associate tomorrow and letting him know IT has been monitoring his internet usage during work hours and coupled with his less than stellar hours and less than stellar work product (which I imagine Adder produces as well) he is hanging by the proverbial thread, which is not so good for him. Too bad he wasn't a chick, like Clinton I am not above a little sexual favouritism.......wink wink.

Gee, once they wore themselves out, I was going to get back to Spanky's little rant, and note that less than 500 refugees have been admitted to the US from Iraq -- now is that the way to build our support in this group? Should we particularly be pushing the young'uns in the group toward a US education as a key way of building a constituency for us in the future in Iraq?

Like I've said before, bringing Democracy to them by force is the wrong way to go about it.

The way you keep huping on this joke brings home in an undeniable way the reason for your intimate failiarity with the term "sped."

No offense.

I have a client that makes systems for jet fighters. it is very much a razor blades industry. of course we should sell Iran parts for out dated jets. we have no one else to sell those particular parts to, and we'll make serious dough.

And if Israel or us ever go to war against Iran we will destroy the whole fleet in the first 2 days of fighting.

NB, you're smart enough to recognize this. The jets will be getting blown up, we might as well make some bucks before we have to pay for the air to air missiles that do it.

There are several typos in wonk's post. in fact there are typically several in all of his posts after lunch. Speculation? the new place has strict lunch hour- back at the desk exactly at 1- this doesn't leave wonk time to stop for ice cream and wash his hands. the chicken grease causes his fingers to slip. that is what huping means- sticky fingers.

So Bush capitulates today on warrantless wiretapping, and not a word from the board's conservatives about how he's gone soft and isn't doing what's necessary to protect the country? He spent all of last year explaining how the program was vital to national security, and all it took was another 30 Democratic congressmen to make him say uncle. (Congresspeople, actually -- some of the new ones are chicks.)
