Not necessarily. The talk-radio guys said that this game was a MUST WIN for the Niners and that if they don't win this game, the season's over. So I think they'll play extra hard this weekend. Ha. Just kidding. You'll probably see a bunch of touchdowns though. Eat before you get there - you'll be sadly disappointed at the food selection. And the prices.

A few days ago, a helicopter spotted their car, stuck in snow on a mountain road, and rescued the mother and two small kids (4 and 7 mos.). They'd run out of food and had burned their tires for warmth. The father had left the car on foot to try to get help, and they were thinking they might still find him alive. But they found his body this afternoon.

He was an idiot. If he had just stayed put, he would have been alive and home by now.
NEVER SEPARATE. Especially if all you have is a lightweight jacket and tennis shoes in snow.

"Never separate" is a rule? Huh. I knew the "If you're lost in the wilderness, STAY PUT" rule, but not the "never separate".
I can't imagine how hard it would be just to sit there wishing you could do something about it. I guess it was too hard for that guy.
He probably felt really sleepy at the end.

One wonders why he headed away from the road.

And then, apparently, took off his pants. I hate to speak ill of the dead, and I feel for his family, but wtf?

I was guessing that he had on multiple layers and he took off one pair of pants as a marker (they are acting like he left markers for searchers to follow). But if that was his only pair of pants, then I'll go with the delusional thing as well.
Very sad in any event.

I hear he had stuff in his backpack and was probably leaving a trail. But yes dtb, the other rule is if you're lost STAY PUT. The farther you go the harder it is to find you.
Yeah, Ty some of us in the office have been watching this story closely all week. Most of us had decided that we would not let our husband leave a wife and 2 kids alone in a car to go get help. Some of us would have set the car on fire.

Also, keep candles in the car. They can produce enough heat (surprisingly) to keep you alive in the freezing cold inside your car.

Apparently, when you freeze to death you feel hot at the end. It's not uncommon to find exposure victims who have taken off their clothes.
