I appreciate the respectful silence from everyone, but you guys should feel free to continue your little chatter while B'n'B and I make out.

Tobes of Hades, lit by flickering torchlight
The netherworld is gathered in the glare
Prince By-Tor takes the cavern to the north light
The sign of Eth is rising in the air.
By-Tor, knight of darkness,
Centurion of evil, devil's prince.
Across the River Styx, out of the lamplight
His nemesis is waiting at the gate
The Snow Dog, ermine glowing in the damp night
Coal-black eyes shimmering with hate.
By-Tor and the Snow Dog
Square for battle, let the fray begin.
The battle's over and the dust is clearing
Disciples of the Snow Dog sound the knell
Rejoicing echoes as the dawn is nearing
By-Tor in defeat retreats to Hell
Snow Dog is victorious
The land of the Overworld is saved again.

It seems an awful lot shorter without all the guitar interludes, doesn't it?

I'm glad that's resolved
Sex in a bar bathroom is legal if the door is shut (at least in Italy) - http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...italy_sex_dc_2 . Where's ABBA when you need her?

Acrobatic Canadians are cavorting outside my window.
Maybe a silver lining to the dark cloud of no hockey?

Canadians of my acquaintance have been taunting me all day about the fact it's Thanksgiving weekend for them. I think it's wrong and against nature for anyone to be celebrating Thanksgiving before I've turned my air conditioning off. They're eating turkey, and we're not even out of the 90s yet.

Let's get naked! And sign up voters
FB/PB x-post!
- A campaign to get out the vote at a spa in San Anselmo on Thursday night attracted women who listened to music, got facials, had tarot and astrology readings and got naked.
The nudity part actually had a purpose -- to inform women that the last day to register is fast approaching. To deliver this message, seven women and one man stripped off their clothes, laid down on the grass and spelled with their bodies "OCT 18," the last day to register.
It was all part of a campaign by a Marin County group called Baring Witness, Salon Mollier and event planner Sondra Freundlich-Hall to bring some of the 22 million single women who failed to vote in the last presidential election back to the voting booth.
"This is ongoing nationally," said Donna Sheehan, who founded Baring Witness in 2002 when she organized women across Marin to strip down and spell anti-war slogans on beaches, ball fields and dung-laden pastures. "We're not unlike crop circles. We appear suddenly and mysteriously, and we are all shapes and sizes."
SF Gate
There's a picture, too, but I'm not sure you want to see it.
(spree: work-safe, but...)
