If you want to get technical about it. I should have said at some point you are going to have to lie to every woman. No woman is perfect, and every woman "has a bad hair day". This is tripe. Women are no more fragile than men. I agree with you to a certain extent -- white lies, here are there are harmless and probably beneficial in most cases. And it's okay to have such a rule in general. But if you do, it shouldn't be applied to just women on some sort of theory that they are incapable of hearing the truth because of permanent mental trauma.
