I know that is his thesis. And, I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but it seems to me that the fact the changes started before much of the fuel burning we now do occured, and the slope being constant, point to it being natural- that is, he's wrong.

lookat your graph's slope since 1950 then look at Ty's guy's slope- it shouldn't be relatively constant.

It's not a he, it's a they. And they're aware of the natural phenomena. Either the slope isn't constant or you're looking at the wrong graph.

There is a distinct break around 1940/1950 in Ty's slope, and Ty's slope and SS's slope are measuring different things.

If you assume that coal consumption directly correllates with rise in sea level. But if it's that simple, who needs a Ph.D.?

I don't have a dog in this fight, but SS's graph is total carbon emissions- that is supposed to be the problem. Ty's graph has a slope that varies slightly up and down, but does not have any real "break" ever, certainly it's not tripled. Again, I DON'T CARE IF TY PROVES THERE IS GLOBAL WARMING, but these graphs seem to prove something else.

The Romney campaign says it's not OK for Pelosi to visit Syria because she disagrees with the President's Iraq policy. Which makes no sense, but is refreshingly direct.
