Sesame Street kicked and kicks ass (except for the new whiny characters -- although Elmo is okay with me). Electric Company had Letterman, Spiderman and a young Morgan Freeman as Easy Reader, so you clearly don't know sh. it. Shit.

I see where you're going, but I disagree. I think many men are "grossed out" by gay men. Part of it is an irrational fear that they may catch a disease or even worse, their "gayness." And I think that is a product of viewing men who are gay as not-masculine ("feminine" didn't work in this context). TO would most likely back away from another gay man (outside of jail and who didn't look like Ray Lewis), not only because of the potential fear of being raped, but because he is grossed out by it. I think this is what SD meant.

In the cases I have in mind, the guy got fought off, but not without leaving the woman feeling violated anyway. While this is not the kind of rape that underlies homosexual panic, when it happens it is a chilling and unbelievably common reminder to women that sexual contact can wind up out of their control. When men experience that kind of reminder, it's completely irrational, but just as sincere.
