I keep trying and failing.
Okay, new topic: a woman here at the office has seemed to have dropped something in the vicinity of, I don't know, 70 or 100 pounds. She's looking awesome. I hadn't seen her for maybe 2 months and then saw her in the hall, and i couldn't help but compliment her. Just said she's looking fantastic, that sort of thing. Was that intrusive or inappropriate?

I thought you only *thought* about complimenting the waitress's hair (and talked about it here)?

I think you're thinking of Temescal, in Oakland. Asmara and Blue Nile? Both are good, but my kids won't touch the stuff -- the bread is too sour for them, alas.
In that 'hood, Dona Tomas and Pizzaiola are both fantastic, too.

I hope that they do and I also hope that if anyone is planning to post anything about Project Runway (hi PLF!) that they use it. I only watched a half hour of it and tivo'd the rest last night. Thanks in advance!

If it is over and over it gets old. But a tasteful "you look great" is always appreciated.
I have some people here following my running diet thing and the ones that ASK me if I freakin ran today I want to poke their eyes out with a pencil. But the ones who say, damn you lost a lotta weight or you look good. that is nice.

Say it. "Oakland." It's OK -- you don't live there anymore.

You are the new board villain. For a while it was Not Me and s/he was like Lex Luthor. You are like the Dirty Bubble from Spongebob. Congratulations!!

Here's a weird question to change the topic: What does it mean when a woman sends really hairy beaver shots (not of herself, from the Internets) to a man? Does your interpretation change if they are brother and sister? To answer the obvious jokes, I am a passive observer, not a participant in this odd interchange.

Inspired by ironweed, I recorded the Celtic/Man U match yesterday, but only watched the first nine minutes before my eyelids grew very, very heavy. Please -- don't tell me what I'm going to see tonight.
