Posts most likely to make me vomit fall into 3 genres:

1) Those by NYD (or Miss Naughty Diplomat or whatever appelation she's using now) inviting someone to raise her plaid catholic school skirt and spank her bare bottom;

2) December RoTAF...although I hated him more than his posts. In fact, he gave us *depositions*, so I heart him for that, but still, hate him with the fire of a thousand suns; and

3) Lady Val. Remember her?

The number of people who have PM'd me to say "thanks" for responding to Sebby as I did, and as I've done before, would suggest otherwise.

And justly so. Can't blame me for calling a spade a spade just because the guys involved don't want to figure it out.

Seriously, though, the idea that a large percentage of the female population thinks that way just sickens me. Or, at least, that they think that way and don't recognize that thinking for what it is, but instead think it is naturally somehow supposed to be someone's responsibility to fucking support their lazy-taker asses. Better an honest whore and all that.

Not to denigrate "stay at homes" or anything like that, mind you. It isn't the lifestyle or division of labor that pisses me off, it is the assumptions about what men are "supposed" to do and be responsible for that I've found sometimes (often, even) underlie it. It's the assumption that because you're married and he's the man that he owes you a fucking living, while you owe him ... childcare, affection (if he's being a good boy), whatever. And that an attempt to revisit those assumptions is doing you some wrong and imposing some undue burden on you.

I understand more and more in this job why men ditch Wife No. 1 for some nubile 19 year old skank - at least the "buy-sell" aspects of the transaction are honest and clear.
For every hooker, there's a john. AndI don't feel sympathy for either of 'em.

And it's only recently that women have had the same independent buying power as men. I'm predicting a strong rise in man-candy.

Edited to add, oops, no pun intended, you perverts.

Oh yeah, well I've received BILLIONS of PMs telling me you were wrong. But I won't tell you who they are or what they said.

Shut up, dude! Congress might be listening.

Had they sufficient confidence in the worth of their own opinions to do that on the board, that might be a pertinent point.

(Sorry, the IM-ing about posts annoys the piss out of me. IM-ing itself is fine, but the idea that someone make a post and then private messages start to fly back and forth ("Ooooo, did you see THAT?") seems so . . . . cs.)

Decisions, decisions.
Alas, having been (and forevermore) a nerd, and having been in a similar situation as my boy Seth, I know the answer. While in a perfect world, Seth should pick Anna, the smart, pretty girl who would perfectly complement him, and deserves it, we all know that Seth has been in love/lust with Summer for many years, even though she only just started to like him after Anna began liking him. I can only hope that Seth (a goddamn fictional character) makes the right choice. Project much Flinty?

And TM--I had a grey Members Only jacket, and the only thing special I felt when wearing it was the wind, which ripped right through that cheap ass jacket. I also had a derby jacket when I wanted to pretend I was part of the stoner crowd. Ah, school days, when all you had to do to join a clique was wear the right costume......

Coltrane: You are absolutely correct, AT-AT's were two legged (smart engineering move there) armored machines with double turrets, that supported Imperial Walkers, which were much bigger. Apparently the Empire didn't hear about this great new invention called the wheel, or the even better invention, hovercraft, and instead insisted on creating huge walking mechanized beasts that tripped and fell a lot.
Edited to add: I guess I'm just flat wrong on the AT-AT's. Huh, been wrong about that for 23 years.

Paigow: Who is this csquared, and why are you so obsessed?
