OK, so I'm one for three. (Reading PJ's now, maybe 1 for 4).

BTW, I'll still bet the marriage had problems before the "accidental" pregnancy. I'd even bet that she floated the issue for years and that the three month timeclock was at a point when she was screaming mad about his indecisiveness. Yes, she shouldn't have done it, but I'll bet the story has many twists and turns that leave all sides culpable.

Is there a way to make sure you get boy/girl fraternal twins? I gotta do this. I think pregnancy looks like shit (it does) and don't want my wife to have to deal with that crap twice. If I could get the boy and girl in one shot, it'd be perfect.

Yeah, get a couple of eggs, do artificial insemination, implant them both and pray.

Of course, she would then have to deal with the pain that comes with trying to get the eggs out. Oh and it costs a lot.

No, any more than you can "go for one of the opposite sex" the second time around. But have you talked to anyone who had one child and thought "shit, I've got so much time on my hands, we should've had twins, and saved the time"? In principle it seems like an attractive alternative, but one of my colleagues recently had twins: After describing how to breastfeed them both (try to get two wriggly worms on to your breasts), she then told me how they don't like to nap at the same time, and when they're not napping, they cry, waking the other up. Yeah--sounds like a real time saver. Just quit both your jobs now.

Yeah -- what I should have written was, a lot of women have the misconception, no pun, that it takes a long time to start ovulating again after stopping the pill.

Who knows what was going through her mind? She gives husband the news, stops the pill, thinks maybe I shouldn't get pregnant before husband lets me know whether he's changed his mind, but what are the odds anyway, and even if I did, he loves me and I'm sure he'll be happy once he sees the baby's face, etc.

Of course this type of behavior makes all women look like lying conniving bitches.
Let's get a grip here, people. This issue is not a hard one. Not to just parrot the Tangy'n'Zesty one here, but the fact that the man knows that the woman wants a child does not lead to the conclusion that the man was reckless or even negligent in assuming that she would not deceive him in order to get the child. If the woman is already using birth control, it is ridiculous to say it is the man's fault for not assuming she would betray him, and therefore taking birth control measures into his own hands. The fact that they had an at-least partially unwanted child is the fault of one person alone - the woman. This is a completely different issue from who should take responsibility for birth control in the first place.

Finally, we're back on topic.

Last night I had a dream that I fucked a board regular. I have not met this person, nor have I had extensive PM flirtations with this person. Any guesses?

I wanted to quote this only so that I could see myslef referred to as the Tangy'n'Zesty one again. I think I need to go change my profile.
