This is pointless. PPNYC probably derives more satisfaction from the fact that you are trying to get people to ignore her than from anything else. To some people (most of whom are toddlers), there is no such thing as bad attention, even if it comes in the form of an obvious effort to provide none.

Okay, new topic: a woman here at the office has seemed to have dropped something in the vicinity of, I don't know, 70 or 100 pounds. She's looking awesome. Given the rapidness of that much weight loss, I'd avoid asking questions about how, since it's likely gastric bypass. People do ask me "how did you do it" or "what have you been doing," and their eyes start rolling over in their heads when I give the detailed answers. (At least 10 hours a week of hard core working out and a vastly reduced diet.)

I don't think anyone minds being told that they look good.

We witnessed a date from hell at Temescal. We think it must have been a blind date, given the uncomfortableness of the parties. But they solidered on. Her eyes started glazing over fairly early on though, and at some point, he pulled out a laptop to show her something. We almost tried to rescue her, but we couldn't make eye contact in order to inform her that we had a getaway car in the parking lot if she needed to quickly bail.

The Displaced Dog also liked it when we went to get Ethiopian, because we always ended ordering too much, and we always brought some home, but we never felt right about eating leftover kiftu, so he got to eat the raw leftovers.

MMM that is the litmus test. If you started to dig around about how she lost all that weight so quickly? she would have felt backed into a corner.

My predictive powers with respect to that show continue to suck, but I am happy with the result. I dislike the winner AND I dislike Supernova, so Win Win. I have been relieved of any obligation to ever attend a Supernova concert and I couldn't be happier.

The only person who changed my mind during the course of the show is Toby. I thought he was a frat boy with no stage presence at the beginning of the show and by the end he was out-Brandoning on Killers songs. Good job.

I'm not sure I can watch another season of this show if they do it again. The shameless self promotion by the band and the sickening kumbayah shit when people were sent home were nearly impossible to bear. I had less of a problem with it during the INXS show because I actually liked INXS in their day and it was cool to hear their (old) stuff promoted to a new generation of kids.

My predictive powers, on the other hand, remain intact. I told you it would be either Toby or Lukas.

Supernova sucks (okay, this Supernova sucks; the SF (I think) band that's been using that name for years is, apparently, not bad). Only reason to go to a show would be to see Storm play with the House Band, and then leave before Pornsuave came on.

Has anybody heard Panic Channel? Despite my love of Jane's, I have a hard time taking Navarro seriously.
