I'm signed up for a 10-day August trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and welcome any suggestions, etc. I'll be doing a group tour so my schedule is somewhat set, though I'll probably add on an excursion or two at the end of the trip. My sister and my mom went two years ago. They weren't all that impressed with Lima, but they LOVED Machu Picchu. They stayed at an eco hotel not too far away from Machu Picchu that boasted a gagillion varieties of orchids and a spectacled bear habitat. I'll try to dig up the name of it for you. They highly, highly recommended it and wished they'd spent more time exploring Macchu Picchu.

Puerto Vallarta......any insite? Recommendations, food, drink, nightlife, senoritas.....or senoras (I don't discriminate on the basis of marriage).

Also, is 11 1/2 days enough or do I need to squeeze the full 12 out of this bad boy??? Keep in mind, I go for the St. Tropez tan. All. over. iykwimaittyd, ww.

It's been many years, but if Galleria Uno is still there it is a truly fantastic gallery. And place to meet artistes.

I've never been to Whistler. I ski Colorado, and not much else.

Sheesh, I am an honourary citisen of Canada. It would be blasphemy not to go to Whistler. Plus it takes me through Vancouver, which I have recently discovered is a very good time.
