Look, If I were CBS, I would most certainly have Ms. Jackson on my grammy show. Look at what has happened in the 3 days since halftime...you have every news reporting network and sports reporting network talking about it, making a big deal about it saying the letters CBS over and over. Don't you think more people would tune in knowing that she's going to be there than if she's uninvited? Even if they know she's not possible going to pull another stunt?
I'm just saying the feigned shocked and agast at what she did, please.
If I were their lawyer, I'd make sure they (a) appeared shocked and appalled and (b) pulled Janet from the Grammys -- at least until the FCC let them off the hook. CBS is flying high in the ratings without having Janet on the Grammys; they don't need a lengthy investigation and possible huge fines. It's all about deniability now.

I would have her on the show too. A lot of people would have watched just to see what happens with her.

As far as the time delay stuff, I think the networks have wanted to have an excuse to do that for ages.
I am shocked and aghast that Justin Timberlake is nominated for five Grammys.

Shock and awe!!!!

I feel the need to add that it's utter (tee hee) hypocrisy that JT will still be performing at the Grammys.

Oh for the bygone day when this sort of conduct was adequately deterred by more conventional social sanctions.

Yeah, it's amazing that he has been able to fool so many people, seeing as how he is so talentless.

Never figured you to be a proponent for those horrid laws against miscegenation, but then again, you do support the party of Robert Byrd.

Social sanctions = mores and disapproval, not law. Go read de Toqueville. And I would never attend a party with Robert Byrd unless someone promised me excellent canapes.

Shouldn't you be drinking or something?

eta: 2K! Yay me! And I think this is the best one yet.

The Bachelorette

No one warned me. Sure you all warned me that her face is unusually wide, but no one warned me that she is so dorky. I guess that anyone who was rejected by goober Bob was likely to be dorky. And do they not have wardrobe advisors on this show? Those super big turtleneck sweaters are NOT helping her any.

God, Wednesday tv sucks.

I'm shocked and appalled that you said that. Have you watched TV on a Monday during the past couple of weeks?
