I will come out of FB retirement to note that it cracked me up how often the term "vapid" was tossed around on the last board. Would have made a good drinking game. In other words, I agree.

Vapidly yours,

It's on the list of most-emailed articles entitled something like "Fat factors."

If I was hypothetically ignored, I'd just turn it outward like I already do IRL. I get a lot of attention at work, that type of thing....no worries

I've made some cool friends here but the same instigators refuse to leave me a lone.
1. I made a deal with you and you broke it. By all rights I could, with full justification, be jumping on your shit mercilessly and it would serve you right. But I don't.

2. All I've ever asked for is that you post in sentences. I realize you're all busy and shit making more money than me as a glamorous Bergdorf-bra-wearing NYC corporate paralegal and shit. Nevertheless, I think it's reasonable of me to be irritated when your grammar is at a kindergarten level and to give you shit about it.

3. If you don't like it, you can suck it.

Too fucking bad. Due almost entirely to your socking, everybody has doubts about whether new posters are live or Memorex and nobody wants to look like the joke is on them by responding earnestly. For you to complain about an effect that you have created is totally ridiculous.
Okay. But if you say "too fucking bad" to me, why should I respect how you want me to behave (i.e don't stir shit between paigow and slave because it is troublesome to me because of my issues with her)? I am willing to respect your request and I really have never felt I have an axe to grind with you, but I would think it should be a two way street.

As for ppnyc in particular, surely you don't have to have it pointed out to you why people have continually thought that she must be a sock.

Yes, initially, three or four years ago. Notwithstanding some exceptions over at Infirm, I have never had a sock last here for more than a month. She's out with a half dozen people here. It should be obvious by now, unless you want to ignore all the signs.

The last one.

I don't thhink pointing out that some things are stupid is that bad, its the relentlessness of the attack. Why? Why bother? Her inane posts (no offence) are not remarkably more inane than your Ireland post, or many of mine. Your criticism would be more effective or entertaining if it was judiciously applied. That said, you don't care what my sensibilities are, as noted above, which again, leads me to say, why should I care about yours?

As for a PM, I don't think I have PM'd you recently (several months), have I? I am not sure what you are referencing that I did.

you're making the same accusations as the reasearchers!

NY Times article

The general statement seems pretty insipid if you were to compare the caloric needs of a fit athlete with a similarly sized couch potato. One has a much higher metabolism, and will need more calories. Nothing in the article suggests they adjusted for that either.

Read the incredibly long article, then come back and chat. That was one example among many. Jesus. Fucking. Christ. It's not like I said it came from US Weekly.
