This is good news: The opposition leader in Zimbabwe has been found "not guilty" on treason charges.

None, really. I was just testing to see if I was on your Ignore List.

All I do is click the brief caption of the ignored post of the ignored poster, and I can see the post. No offense. Tell ya the truth, I'd be interested in finding out whose ignore lists I've made, but not interested enough to try PMing anybody to find out (I don't think I can PM anyone who has me on ignore, but I'm not really sure).

Does that answer your question? FWIW, I just removed 4 of 7 on my ignore list this week. The other 3 I still read unless its a really busy day where I need help scrolling.

You're still up?

My deepest apologies if this has been discussed already, but it's so hard to work until 10:00 AND keep up with you people.

NEW YORK — The cable pay-per-view company iN DEMAND has backed away from a plan to show a three-hour election eve special with filmmaker Michael Moore that included the first television showing of his documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11."

The company said Friday it would not air "The Michael Moore Pre-Election Special" due to "legitimate business and legal concerns." A spokesman would not elaborate.

The New York-based iN DEMAND, owned by the Time Warner, Cox and Comcast cable companies, makes pay-per-view programming available in 28 million homes, or about one-quarter of the nation's homes with television.

In an interview with a Maine television station that aired this week, former President George H.W. Bush called Moore a "slimeball" and an expletive.

Also Friday, Moore offered to let Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. air the movie for free. Such a deal would likely get a chilly reception at Sinclair, a broadcaster with a reputation for conservative politics that plans to air a critical documentary about John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activities on dozens of TV stations two weeks before the election.

I guess I have no comments other than...equal time?

edited to add linky

Well, the Swiftboat guys are really just trying to get to the bottom of things, whereas Moore's movie is basically a series of false and inflamnatory accusations. Thus, the Swifties are more-like asking questions, and Moore is more-like throwing mud.

Hello

PS Nice subtle use of "you people". Its my mission on Saturday mornings between midnight and 1:00 AM to make this term acceptable in polite society.

What? What's wrong with "you people?"

Anyway - it's not just the movie and it's not just the fact that they aren't running it. They said they would and now they've backed away. Funny that. Plus it included an interview with Moore in addition to the movie. It just sounds like strong-arming from somewhere.
edit to add, that once it's midnight, can I say "you people?"
edited to also add that e-filing sucks and that when I file this opposition to MSJ and supporting declaration, I am SO out of here and then I can ketchup.

I was just kidding. In a very conservative firm, I'm still known as the least politically sensitive member because I tend to talk straight to people. The "you people" thing is sort of a running joke since Ross Perot used it at an NAACP convention or sumthin like that. I like seeing it used generically (by you) because I think hyper-sensitive people react to it under some circumstances, while un-PC people like Ross Perot might just use it whenever they are addressing a group of people who they mostly don't really know. As far as I'm concerned, use it whenever you want unless its going to get you killed.

Moore said he's looking at legal action, but he has to be kidding. His entire timing, from start to finish, has been to coincide with the campaign. Having duped an innocent 3rd party broadcaster into cooperating with the timing, he has nothing to complaing about when they pull the broadcast, particularly since its Fifth-column propoganda.

Whereas the Sinclair group offered Kerry to personally appear to counterpoint anything revealed in the documentary. Quite fair indeed.

Perhaps if they offered the authors of the great site www.moorewatch.com to point out all the blatant lies or misrepresentations in the film, or perhaps the authors of Michael Moore is a Big, Fat Stupid White Man, then you would have a comparable situation.
