Supernova sucks (okay, this Supernova sucks; the SF (I think) band that's been using that name for years is, apparently, not bad). Only reason to go to a show would be to see Storm play with the House Band, and then leave before Pornsuave came on.

Has anybody heard Panic Channel? Despite my love of Jane's, I have a hard time taking Navarro seriously.
THis season has killed him for me. Mr. Man has the Panic Channel CD, so he can weigh in on that. As to Navarro, all I think of when I see him now is "Awww, ye-ah!" What a fucking rock star, baby.

Two things: (1) I didn't realize that there was such thing as fireman's school (I more thought it was an on-the-job-training sort of profession) and (2) how many times to you hear about guys who list as their professions hairdresser and fireman?
I met a stripper who was doing the same thing.

I don't actually care to know. She looks great, I assume it's taken hard work, I want to say something nice and express genuine good feeling. Nothing beyond that.

Not Bob, it just wasn't meant to be: I simply can't withstand your attentions to good-haired waitresses (and hostesses and stewardesses and seamstresses - oh, Not Bob, don't think I don't know about all the -esses!). Nope, I'm off with Paisley to prowl the internets. Wish us luck! And tell the guys in produce it was so nice getting to know them.

two of em

A woman tried to have another woman bumped off. The other woman's crime? She was in a picture on the first woman's boyfriend's myspace page. Remarably, none of these people appear to be from Texas. $500 for a hit seems low. On the other hand, flinty probably could have done it cheaper and without ratting anyone out. There's no professionalism in hitmanning anymore.

J.K. Rowling, who seems to like publicity, says she fought TSA about whether or not she could carry the new Harry Potter manuscript on the plane. The manuscript was in liquid form?
Sigh. Where to begin? The hurt and the anger? Or the joy of the pain?

I could say that there's nothing of your love that I'll ever miss, but we both know that that would be a lie.

Papercuts can take down a plane.

ETA my hairdresser is kind of odd. He's straight, which in and of itself is not odd, but he acts very gay. Except for when he is talking to Mrs. Eaze. For a while he kept hugging her, which she isn't into. Then he was telling her to watch these very strange spiritual movies. Then he was telling her how unhappy he was in his marriage and that he wished he could leave and live in a hut in the mountains. Then his wife had twins and he shut up.

He's good at cutting hair though and we don't have that many choices around here.

I think that might qualify as inappropriate. But that's just my opinion.

B/c of the hairdresser thing I am picturing him as the gay volunteer-fireman from The Sopranos. Any resemblance?
