Sure, this little bitch might've been the first out of the gate, but you just know there's a terrible fall awaiting her. Sooner or later, she'll misspell the Aeneid or some such shit, and from then on, the road is clear. It'll be all gold and glory for you.

She is toast. She looks like she has quite a few pounds on me, but I think I could take her. This alone was enough to make me want to knock that smirk off her face:
- Fogarty said both men were correct, but that she preferred leaving off the extra s.
Oh, please. Leave off the extra S?!? I am soooooo sure.

I will probably regret this later, but I kinda like Peyton. I even like his ubiquitous commercials -- he's like a big goofy kid, and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. Plus, in that one commercial where he wears a wig and a fake moustache, he looks kinda like my Uncle Paddy.
Mrs. Not Bob was a bit sad to see Tom Brady lose, though. I reminded her that Gisele would be consoling him, and that he already had three rings.

Sorry. This sebbyism has taken on a life of its own. You no longer control it and it's funny in any and every form.

I was gonna post this also. I like Peyton. He deserves a ring, his dad didn't have one either. [Archie] and his brother is a neophyte. Peyton's lost a little hair but he's cute. And those commercials are funny the "bruschetta?" not as hot as Tom, but cute. I used to work with a woman whose daughter went to school with Peyton's wife at UVA apparantly they are bible thumpers which stands to reason....But Tom is just flat out hottie. hottie hottie hottie. Doesn't Peyton have a younger younger brother who is still in high school? His parents are handsome good looking people for their age.

I tend to agree with you. At the very least, I have never understood what it about him that makes people hate him. But plenty seem to anyway.

I like him too. This is a disturbing trend.
I do not care for Tom Brady at all. I don't think he's goodlooking, and ever since I saw him nodding at the State of the Union address a while back, which I tuned in for 2 or 3 minutes, I have thought he was a real dork. Also he was mean to Bridget Moynihan, whom I don't know, but still.
Oh, Peyton Manning said something mean to his former Canadian kicker, which is a strike against him, but van der whatshisface seemed like kind of a jerk anyway, so I don't hold it against him.
God, this is a terrible post. Someone make me stop.

Bullshit. By that theory, A-Rod deserves a ring. Peyton's a likeable guy, a loveable loser if you will, but he's yet to deserve a ring. This is, what, the first time he came up big in a big game, after repeated failures (not all his fault--cough, Vandershank, cough)? He's choked repeatedly in the playoffs (and got away with a win in baltimore this year, despite his poor play).
And he's going to get off easy, because the Bears are, despite their record, a poor shadow of the Shuffling Monsters of 1985.

he has choked repeatedly in the playoffs. I agree. But I view that as a maturation process...can I not root for the underdog? I kind of like football dynasty families and it would be nice for his dad to see him win. I see what you are saying about a rod but he is simply not as likeable. a rod is like an automaton. except when he is exp. fits of anger. then he's just freaky.

Buckaroo Banzi and the DaVinci Code
Did ya'll know that Peter Weller is a professor at Syracuse and he's working on a Ph.D in Rome and the Itailian Renaissance? There's a short article about him in this month's Wired, though it's not yet online. This NY Daily News blurb will have to do.

Big fat honking 2. No one "deserves" to win a championship because they perform well in the regular season.

Manning played a brilliant game in Baltimore (ok, maybe just "very, very good"). Don't be fooled by the numbers.
Consider who he was up against, and read what those guys -- who are not kind by nature -- said about him afterwards.

Raw cane sugar is not as sweet because it is less refined. This is the same principal that applies to make larger sea salt crystals taste less salty than more highly processed table salt.
