I did that once. Never. Again.
And I won the appeal! It was arduous on a level I’d never like to relive. So fucking boring. Same facts over and over and over.

Boring is effective. Effective = money. For plaintiffs anyway.

The media will blame the social unrest entirely on division allegedly sown by Trump. That’ll be bullshit everyone will see as bullshit. If the Gothams start burning, it’ll be because of economic pressures and the fact that poor people in tightly packed locales will effectively have been imprisoned with no money while being forced to watch their livelihoods vanish.
There is no “lives over economy” argument. Ultimately, you protect both or you protect neither.

People! Heed my warning. We need to listen to Sebastian about what is going to happen in the future and what we should do about it! He has NEVER BEEN WRONG about anything regarding the pandemic. He’s literally the only one left we can trust.

You think anyone’s going to be able to enforce lockdowns? If Trump wins and the cities go nuts, he won’t be able to control it any better than Biden.
It’s going to be a crazy winter if you’re living in a densely populated area.

How the fuck would I know? I can't predict the future. You're the only one I know who can do that.

I can! 4 years ago I predicted that the race was a toss up and Pa and Mi were toss ups and if she lost either he was president. But I can't change history cuz I tried to tell people to vote and NOT vote 3rd party, but they did{sad face}
Step 1 admit I was powerless to change how people vote.

A few weeks ago 30 states were light orange- now 3. We are headed to Sweden- by January we will either have herd immunity, or there is no such thing.

I’ve a meeting on the 3rd and a hearing. The former will involve scotch. Try me at 5:00 and see if I can tempt a DUI to get to the polling station.

Almost all of my appellate work has been the result of me winning summary judgment and the plaintiff appealing. Even my one post-trial appeal was an appeal of an SJ motion that was denied way early in the case. All legal issues.
Trials are dumb - a case that goes to trial is a failure.

Just hand over the money then and no one gets hurt.

I agree...when I'm the plaintiff, which I am now more than I used to be.

Yup. If you're trying a case, you're losing money. Or not making as much as you should have.
