A long, long time ago I was on a really active board (series of boards) comprised of some smart, professional people, only 3 lawyers (on average), and a whole lot of really young, really stupid, really jealous, really insecure women (it was virtually all women). That board had the same issues arise, from leaving one venue for one that could be shaped more to the posters' liking, to silences and confabs and complaints about inside jokes. It was more fun in a way then, because I knew all the inside jokes rather than merely guessing at them on partial and deduced information, but it amuses me to no end that this grown-up board experiences the same thing. Please, this time around, no one threaten to call my husband's place of business to tattle on me for being a meanie.
