That's a tough call. We'll have to rely on the "tie base goes to the manboobs" rule.

Congratulations, Sidd. You won without the unseemly PR campaign.

Kurt Loder of the Board

For West Coast music fans, Scottish indie poppers The Trash Can Sinatras will play Slim's on October 5th. I think Str8 saw their showcase in LA a couple of months ago (and if he didn't, he should surrender all of his trucker hats and Von Dutch clothing. Actually, he should surrender all that stuff anyway.)

For East Coast music fans, AC Newman (Carl from the official band of the FB, The New Pornographers) will be playing in New York tonight, Philly on Friday, D.C. on Saturday, and Austin next Wednesday with fledgling indie darlings Rogue Wave.

The supercool Canadian with the redhot Oakland band - it's like the McDLT, but with guitars.

Oh, and Record Surplus in LA is having another giant sale at the end of the month.

Plus, people in the patch can feel like a hipster-for-a-day by seeing Rogue Wave on the John McEnroe show Thursday night at 10 pm. (Trucker hats optional.)

No dog. TO thinks it's embarassing, shameful and disgusting to associate with flamboyant gays. Sort of like being an uncle tom or whatever.

Bitch, please. For a persona who's spent a career dancing away from the destruction you've wrought on any particular day, watching you try to drag someone into a locked room with a naked bulb and duke it out under your frame of the debate is, I'll admit, a funny concept.

You think I bring nothing to the board? OK. I think you're wrong, but ultimately it's not for me to prove. It is, or it isn't. At worst, I've got about 1500 posts to develop one meeting your standards, right?

Like I said, I'm looking for an absinthe dealer. Help a brudda out here, or I'm gonna be left with Hank's leftover ripple.
1. Shirley you jest. "Destruction"? I've wrought "destruction"? And you're calling me out for my hyperbole? What is there to destruct? The ether these silly words occupy?

2. No. Yoooouuuu're wrong.

3. If you think I've "destructed" anything, you need no absinthe. But seriously, from what I hear from a pal who actually got his hands on a bottle for something like $150, absinthe ain't worth the trouble. Save yourself the $$ and pick up some MDA, which is allegedly the "shit" these days. Its a more psychedic, less speedy form of X. Ain't been there yet myself, but it sounds like a good whack.

I offer a truce. I was in a foul mood yesterday dealing with some tools, so I autmomatically drove into my "fuck lawyers" mentality. It happens... a lot. Discovery issues will do that to you. That sort of organizational work is not what I'm wired to do. That's for small uncreative disciplined people who can endure such mindless rote crap work. If you enjoy dealing with that crap, you need yur fucking head examined.

Couch becomes her

This story, without the photo evidence, would be too much to handle. When your skin becomes grafted to your furniture, you know you've got problems.

spree: news article about a woman who recently died of morbid obesity

eta: Thanks, Burger.

Has anyone here caught The Player on UPN? I saw part of it last night (I was looking for the Amish show) and this may be this summer's low point in reality TV. So bad it's almost good. My favorite part is all the white people trying to sound ghettofabulous. The stretch H2 was a nice touch too.

What the hell is in that picture anyway? I could make out the two guys in HazMat suits, and I think I could make out the sofa, but I couldn't distinguish anything else.

What a sad story.

Oh my god. Not even the spree prepared me for how gross that was. Do not read while enjoying your morning coffee, unless you intend to visit the vomitorium immediately upon reading.

Unbelievably sad. As for the picture, I'm pretty glad I couldn't see much more than a couple of haxmat suits and a woman under a sheet.

I'm not sure which was more insulting, Hank's or dtb's. But I haven't had all my coffee yet.

I did not mean to insult, but to compliment. I did not mean to burn, certainly not bridges. Fringe. friends?

That is sad. My condolences to Hank on the loss of his mom but on the bright side I hear there is an unlimited all day every day all you can eat buffet in heaven. Like Ponderosa except no charge.
