This was the snack food supreme of my youth. I am getting that sickly hyper-salted head buzz combined with an upset stomach just seeing the words.

Hi! But outing me as a violent, hotheaded African soccer player is not so cool.

I am. I enjoy avocados a lot. Plus they are very good for your skin.

I recommend an ice-cold Mountain Dew.

Oh, darn, no. I missed it, but I had read the review in the NYT. The review made the observation that the many versions of Jane Eyre are very true to the text, likely owing to the subject matter, unlike adaptations of (for example) Jane Austen novels.

The review also mentioned that Wide Sargasso Sea is the story of Rochester's mad wife, which is something I did not know (said in Johnny Carson voice).

Hey--there's an idea! I have two avocados in my fridge that I have reason to believe are no longer pretty and green on the inside. Should I just mash them up and slather them on my face? Maybe they'll help combat some of the redness, dryness and irritation I'm currently experiencing from having restarted using Retin-A.

But you've got to mix your own dip--the ready-made ones are too salty. For me the perfect mix has about half again as much sour cream as called for. Double bonus--you get more dip per package of mix, AND you can eat more before you reach the hyper-salted head buzz state.

Yes, you should do this.

Me three (or five, or whatever). Especially as to the necessity of making one's own dip with the french onion soup mix.

And I love chocolate-covered ginger.

And I'm concerned about the avocado thing.

*the accidents that I've been in that were not my fault have been the garden-variety fender benders. hit while parked, hit from behind on the freeway by someone who couldn't stop in time, etc.

Hmmm. I did, in fact, mix my own, but I would follow the directions religiously. One packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix to one container of cour cream, if I recall correctly. Your recipe seems like it might be a bit too sour creamy.
