I think he was really frustrated at not being able to convince me of the oil conspiracy schemes and all and was highly insulted I didn't want to hear about it anymore. I think I insulted him a few times by cutting short his political talk to talk about more concrete things. He says he is a very spiritual person and all these things make up his being and shakras (chakras?) and whatever...I forget.
I won't even talk to a person who starts the "We wen there for oil" conversation. Its a comment appropriate nowhere north of age 15. Is oil a bonus? Yes. Did we got there for oil? No. The only comment worse is the "Bush was avenging his daddy" theory.

Does anyone else think W was avenging his dad's honour by taking out Saddam?

What about international policy, then? If a woman voted for Bush because she felt the other candidate would not be as strong as would be needed to protect the country from more terror attacks, but she was far left on every social issue (abortion/free speech)? Same question, but the woman is an attractive nymphomaniac who has been in hibernation for some time and has just come out of said hibernation. And is hungry.

Would you have sex with one though? What if this theoretical Bush-voter (a) was hot (b) would not dream of touching your head mid-blow job and (c) presented you with a solid gold waterproof vibrator the next day after a long steamy night before he went back home to Republicanville?

3. In the grand scheme of things, it all really doesn't mean shit. And it probably won't affect me in any way. Fuck details and give me a kayak, right Bilmore?

Poltics is the following:

(a) boring
(b) annoying as a bar conversation
(c) similar to sports, in which people just want a team to root for (except the fans are bigger dorks)

I like it best when Congress treads water. I prefer that over the whole "Heart of Darkness" aggregate power scenario (for either side). Our founding fathers were brilliant. They understood that normal people go apeshit when given too much control, so they basically ensured that it won't happen. Thus, not much really changes. Power sways back and forth, small changes to law are made, but our government basically just spins its wheels and makes a lot of noise. Kind of like a really loud fart that doesn't smell.

...till my crank was rubbed more ragged than a cat scratching post.

Your political thinking is actually similar to mine. I like Bush's Starving the Beast policies. I hate his Jesus Crazy policies. I like his strike AQ policy. I don't think he bombed the right country.

More importantly, what quality would put a guy over the top so that you could ignore his quoting Sting lyrics and still date him?

Actually, you're wrong.

Tits are gravy. And can be bought, if one so desires.

Maybe. He'd have to be really hot and really, really quiet though,.
