fwiw, I've heard from several anon FB posters that they have seen many a dollar dance in Canada, and that everyone involved was quite happy as well. I don't think a wedding was involved though.

I'm a Beatles fan. I think Paul is undervalued by lots of critics and/or fans. Regardless of the crap he's done in the last 35 years, the guy is still a genius in my book.
That said, there is no fucking way I'm dropping better than $150 each (before fees) for crappy arena seats to see the guy. No fucking way. I'll stick to Dave Alvin in a 800 seat venue for $15. Or Tommy Stinson in a club for $10. Hell, tomorrow I can see the Groovey Ghoulies in a club for all of $5. No way I'm lining up to line Sir Paul's pockets. Maybe his wife needs a new peg leg or something, but still...

Only if your fiance is not cool with it.
But a friend's husband did get one from his groomsmen. Serving fine beers to this day from their basement rec room.

In this context, I revise my bitching about what I paid for my Wilco tickets. Ticketmaster can still fuck off, though.

I think we discussed this last on this board in July, 2003, but the archives don't seem to go back that far. Alas.

For some reason my Tivo didn't get this week's episode, so no idea.
Bummed that the season's over though. There were lots of good times. I'm going to go down to Pipe Storage and have a little cry.

Dissent. Most Canadian girls are easy, but they're not cheap.

If only it were that easy, I could get people to remember the Hank of 2003 and Seigfried and ROy posts and to stop dwelling on the Hank of 2004 and Guernica posts....

I knew this at about 7:00 pacific time, i.e., before I even got to see the performance.
What can I say, when you're running bad, you just have to ride it out.

Man, if I could just remember a line from "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", I'd have a trifecta going.

Correct. AI is a great illustration of the way that American major labels produce pop music, and it has little to do with talent, style, creativity or anything like that.
