Question
Can Michael Jackson be both a member of the Nation of Islam and a devotee of that religion he is (seventh day adventist?- the one where the peeople knock on doors and hand out pamphlets)? Or did he convert?

Speaking of LOTR
You're nuts. Wizard of Oz is CLEARLY an allegory all about William Jennings Bryan, President McKinley, the American eastern moneyed establishment and about how unless the dollar changes to the Silver standard, the average joe is doomed to ruin. See about a million websites on the subject.
Note, I don't really buy that this was Baum's intent, nor do I think that this particular interpretation is very persuasive or interesting, but I also think that Authorial intent is irrelevant when doing literary analysis; an author didn't have to intend a certain interpretation for that interpretation to be valid, and an unintended intrepretation can be more interesting and informative than the actualy text of the work.

Any shmuck with a hint of an imagination can torture a piece of art to divine meaning that doesn't exist, but I'd hardly call such idiots - or the waste they spew on paper - "interesting." "Tools" is more appropriate.
Guess what? There is no secret meaning behind 99% of everything you read or see. Chaucer, Shakespeare, Faulkner, James, Yeats, Lenny Bruce, Bobcat Golthwait, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Motley Crue, Alice in Wonderland, the Wizard of Oz and just about every other enteratiner/entertainment through history has been exactly what it purposrts to be - ENTERTAINMENT. Some pathetic people can't live with this simplicity, so they find subplots and ejaculate idiot theories about hidden subplots or political undertones. Those people are idiots. Like David Gilmour once said when asked about hidden messages on Dark Side of the Moon, "Its all just fucking pop music."

Ahem, fuck-bunny, but since you're taking credit for board phrases today, you do recognize that "phoning it in" was mine.
Search the old posts.
If I have to remind you again, next time Danny DeVito leaves us alone, I'm going to hog tie you and treat you to a "Little Jack Horner" in front of the natives.

Dude, his rune indicates Jimmy Page worshipped the devil.
Literary analysis is no different than stoned white trash thinking Ozzy is speaking to them.
Chuck Manson had some interesting take on Cry Baby Cry. But then he ruined his career by cutting out Sharon Tate's fetus and such...

He apparently did not convert (despite earlier reports). However, according to unnamed associates, the NOL has completely taken over his life.
spree: NYT article re NOL's involvement in Jacko's affairs.

Yes, although it's called "vertical integration" and "joint venturing" now. Although I'm sure Str8 can set us str8.

Dude, whatever you call it, if it means that Live is getting more airplay, we need the FTC (and the FCC for that matter) to get involved pronto. I think even the Bushies would agree that reducing the amount of Live on the airwaves is a useful role for government trust-busting.

Should we do the whole thing?
"Is not."
"He is too a fag. A buddy of mine went over to his house to install one-way mirrors, and he came to the door in a dress."
(Actually since I've probably butchered this line, I'll stop here).

Worst Present: Disc golf bag, with putter and two long range discs included. Thanks, mom, I'll be sure and bring these next time I'm invited for a round at River Oaks.
Best Present: See above. I did not receive many gifts this year. This is the price of being feared and respected rather than loved. It can be lonely at the top.

Sorry for posting so much today (work is kinda slow); but I gotta give a shout out to disc golf. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. Very much fun cutting class in high school and heading down to Toronto Island to play DG all day, and it still provides for a relaxing break on a lazy weekend. Never became a good putter, however. I recommend the Cobra for a driver (or something else very stable or even understable) and a Hammer as an up-disc, and an Aviar putter. That's all you need for hours and hours of fun.

I apologize. I aws thinking of Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas in Romancing the Stone, and somehow turned this into Raiders of the Lost Ark.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

That's just great. Because it really helps in Hollywood to cozy up to groups that are rabidly anti-Semitic.
Now this freak is slandering my own by association. That's it--I'm switching to Janet.
Oh, the humanity!
