Very patriotic to give all your cash to a Marine.

I wan't arguing that. I think that is obvious. The question is not what would happen to Israel but to Brtain if it pulled completely out of the Middle East.

a) Divert a great deal of world attention from its nuclear (weapons) program, and its support for anti-American Shia militias in Iraq;
b) Strike out at its arch-enemy Israel using its terrorist toady, Hezbollah;
c) Severely damage public opinion about the U.S. in the Muslim world;
d) Put a deep freeze on the Middle East peace process;
e) Push global oil prices even higher, filling its national coffers for advancing its nuclear program, its conventional military, and its support of Hamas and Hezbollah;
f) Catapult itself to a position of leadership in the Muslim world through its support of Hezbollah;
g) And, lastly, remind the region — and the world — that it is capable of creating even more instability if anyone tries to get in the way of its plans for hegemony in the Middle East.

I hate to sound like a broken record but - what the hell should Israel have done? It just couldn't sit by and let its soldiers be captured. Could it?

When you say personal brush with terrorism, do you know if Ty is taking into account that both Munich and World Trade Center are fictionalised accounts of terrorism events?

This girl is almost too cute to be believed. Look how big her eyes are, it almost like she is a drawing from a Disney cartoon. To not allow a girl this adorable to get a passport has got to be one of the dumbest PR moves of the century.

Maybe I missed something, but everyone said that Britain would still face a risk of terrorism, but some of us said it might abate a bit.

Coincidentally, she's almost the same age as Mohammed's favourite wife was when she married the prophet. I wonder if Aisha was that cute.....................

Not as fictionalised as Fahrenheit 911, but Moore used a lot more artistic license to punch that flik up.

Interesting article in the liberal British paper the Guardian on the 15 most influential websites to date.
I see Wikipedia and Drudgereport. No Kos, no Quiggan.com, no DU nor any lefty blogospherics. Interesting..............

I know this is a bit hard to grasp, but we're in agreement on that point. If we disagree about anything, it's that we aren't on enough ground.

Aside to Wonk
Is your current signature line a quote from Paigow or from Slave?
