Anyhoo, if you are going to counsel someone not to go to law school, counsel them to do something fun. I would recommend bumming around as a snowboarding instructor, club med fun director, bartender, or travel writer before feeling like you have to commit to something that offers a 401k and a health plan.

As someone who has spent all of her life around general aviation, I can tell you that it would be almost impossible to fly an airplane into a building by accident, especially under visual flight rules.

I am not saying it is terrorism. I suspect someone was looking to commit suicide in a front page kind of way.
