Poll: I think we might have dones this one before
But it's been a while. So, What is the stupidest thing occupying mental space for you from your youth?
Mine is:
How do you get shirts so clean, Mr. Lee?
Ancient Chinese Secret.
My husband, some hotshot, here's his ancient chinese secret: Calgon. Calgon's two water softeners soften wash water so detergents clean better. We need more Calgon!
Ancient Chinese Secret, huh?!
I'm sure I will be haunted by this commercial well into my Alzheimers years. It may at some point be the only thing I remember. How sad.

One banana, two banana, three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.
Over hill and highway the banana buggies go
Comin' to bring you the Banana Split show
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la
Four banana, three banana, two banana, one
All bananas playin' in the bright warm sun.
Flippin' like a pancake, popping like a cork
Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la
Two banana, four banana, one banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch on monkeys, hangin' from a tree.
Hey there, ev'rybody, won't you come along and see
How much like Banana Splits ev'ryone can be
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

I saw b-n-b's lengthy post and I didn't even bother to read it, for fear of having it compete with that fucking Calgon comercial for airtime inside my skull.
eta: Sorry RP!

Good fucking god, people, what do I have to do to get you to stop mixing me up with everybody under the sun? I mean, after all, I'm a moderator.
No respect.

Sadly, it is the only joke I can ever remember.
Q: what did the bra say to the hat?
A: You go on ahead and I'll give these two a lift.
I learned it when I was quite young and unfortunately it will never leave my head.

It's a good thing that's got no audio linked to it otherwise it would kick Mississippi Queen out of my head which oddly that video triggered - a song that needs no more cowbell.

This one may be remembered only by GWNC, if anyone, but . . .
Big Mac, McDLT, a quarter-pounder with cheese, filet-of-fish, a hamburger, a cheeseburger, McChicken, and McNuggets, tasty golden french fries (regular or larger size) and salads chef or garden or a chicken salad oriental, and for breakfast Egg McMuffins, hot hot cakes and sausage also omlette mcmuffins, all 3 kinds of danish, hash browns too, and for dessert hot apples pies and sundaes (3 varieties), a soft serve cone, three kinds of shakes, and chocolately chip cookies and to drink a coca cola, diet coke, an orange drink, a sprite, i love McDonalds good times great taste and I get this all at one place.

No, we have McDonalds in the US, too.

I think that was in the US too, or some variant. I recognize the beginning.
This has got to be the most sadistic poll ever. Mr. & Mrs. Lee are singing Mississippi Queen while eating at McDonalds in my head. I need a drink now.

Was that only in Canada? That commercial always worked on me - I always used to want to eat McD's after it. In fact, I want it now and I don't even eat there anymore.
