That reminds me, what's the compassionate leave policy for the death of tribute/stalker socks? I think I should get at least a week for every CD Stealing Bastard.

Among other things, this means you can play soccer at pretty high levels if you have the skills and general fitness needed, regardless of whether you grow up to be abnormally tall or huge.

I'm still thinking that most soccer players are taller and bigger than the general population. Lacrosse is the same way. You don't need to be tall or huge to play the game, but the shortest guy on the field will be 5'10" and weigh 195. And that's muscle.
I mean seriously, guys who grow up to be accountants do not say to themselves as they pull into their parking space in the morning, "If I'd only applied myself, I could have played professional soccer."

Client consent.
Similar to that exculpatory Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, if you go rent a copy of "Slave Shoe Diaries, Episode 23: Return of the Razor," you'll see me in the background with Penske during the kitchen scene.
(I'm looking both away and not entirely pleased to be there, but as Grampa always said, ya gotta go to where the work is. But I digress.)
It's hard to discern on the DVD over the foreground noise, but Penske, while holding what was later described to me as a fluffernut, instructs me to find an opportunity to discuss this grand strategy publicly, as a means of drawing attention to his oeuvre.
I leave, feeling vaguely unclean, and candidly the feeling hasn't washed away since.

If by "he" you mean counsel, you couldn't be more wrong.
I can't discuss the details at this point, but I'll try to get consent to do so at my next client emeting (which, sadly, I'm told will appear on Episode 34. I do wish my client would choose different places and times to meet.)

How many members of the NBA All-Star team are 5'10"? How many top NFL players are only 195 pounds? How many of those are linesmen?
5'10" and 195 pounds is NORMAL. On the muscular end, no doubt. But you don't need to be a freak of nature to have those proportions.

ETA that I know, but will decline to ID the individuals to protect the guilty. If nobody guesses the firm, I'll spill.

It's not normal in my house. Or anywhere in my neighborhood. But it sounds about perfect to me, albeit a little on the short side.

Perhaps, but it's more that they're fairly normal sized people who are athletically built or trained. Being of average height is not a nearly automatic disqualifier as it is for basketball, and for weight/size with football.
What was maradona? 5'6"? I know he looks like a lineman now, but not in his prime.

Uneasy Rider
A Ukrainian motorcycle enthusiast has found the perfect place to ride her Kawasaki Ninja on perfectly open roads through a beautiful natural setting without fear of cars, or kids, or stray dogs. The place? Chernobyl.
None of the pictures are graphic, but the story they tell is supremely depressing, in a way only Russian stories can be. Can it really have been 18 years ago?

I checked. In an unscientific survey, I checked the height and weight listed for eight players on Real Madrid, David Beckham's team here - http://www.realmadrid.es/web_realmad...illafutbol.jsp
Survey says (from tallest to shortest)...
Zindane - 185 cm (6'1"), 78 kg (172 lbs.)
Guti - 185 cm (6'1"), 76 kg (168 lbs.)
Helguera - 185 cm (6'1"), 73 kg (161 lbs.)
Ronaldo - 183 cm (6'0"), 82 kg (181 lbs.)
Figo - 180 cm (5'11"), 75 C(165 lbs.)
Portillo - 180 cm (5'11"), 72 kg (159 lbs.)
Raul - 180 cm (5'11"), , 68 kg (150 lbs.)
Michael Salgado - 174 cm (5'8"), 75 kg (165 lbs.)
Roberto Carlos - 168 cm (5'6"), 70 kg (154 lbs.)
This would suggest they are slightly taller than average, but also very lean for their stated heights. I suspect that, like our sports, they lie up on the height and down on the weight, which would make them pretty damn average.
