I admire a person who can maintain a good partisan rant in the face of adverse facts.

Hey, its true. Unemployed people either 1) are too lazy to find a job or 2) really don't want one. In fact, its also true that people with minimum wage jobs either 1) only have them for a week or two before moving into the $50,000/yr job or 2) really just like being the fry-guy and are willing to trade the big bucks for the intoxicating smell of animal fat in the morning.

Maybe things are great in the upper north (other than the weather, of course), but law firms are still laying people off here and in other major Texas cities. And I don't think that anyone would look at Austin's economy and call it healthy. It has nothing to do with partisanship. It has to do with a lot of professional people that I have known that have lost their jobs in the last 2 years. I wish that I could tell you something different.

Tell him to blame Clinton instead:

CIA Drone films bin Laden at camp in 2000, no missles or forces on alert to do anything about it , though.

Actually, it's really nice to be very busy again here in tech-land. They should move up here, folks are starting to hire again.

Of course, during the boom we spent our time doing option plans and employment deals to rapidly grow the US economy, and now we spend our time doing outsourcing deals to rapidly grow the Indian economy, but, hey, it employs lots of lawyers!

Namaste!

We are 1/10 of 1/% over the 103 year unemployment average. The Dems have done a fantastic job of spinning this against Bush, but the truth is far different from reality.

It was funny because of the tongue in cheek style, when you could otherwise have gloated. It is not appropriate when used to link to one of your blogs or pieces of questionable support for your strained theories.
I have long wanted to shift back to "link" from "linky," but didn't want to be seen as backing down.

People already see us as the "reasonable posters" from our respective sides. I think if you move to "link", based upon my request, it only shows the benfits that common courtesy, engagement and a willingness to consider the opinions of others can have.

I was not trying to get into a partisan debate. But that seems to be all some people posting here want to do. Consider this Exhibit A as to why I don't post here much.

Pretty hopeless to think they'll each get their own job, huh?

Well, that's different, then. This is the Politics Board, and typically such a post would have been a snarky inference that, nationally, unemployment is staggering, due, of course, to Bush's stupidity. That's obviously not what you meant, and I misread it, and so I'm sorry.

I'm not overly suspicious. They really are all out to get me.
