First they have to admit that they lost the election.

As SEC Chick already said, the right is already blaming the libertarians for blowing the election.

or this could be the next Board title? I do think the speculation that the D might come back and run again in 2024 sort of implies a little bit of admitting he lost.

Trump's narcissism won't let him admit he lost.

Most of Trump's advisors and Republican politicians understand that he lost but don't want to tell him that, don't want to take the heat of introducing the base to reality, and like the fundraising.

A few Trump advisors and Republican politicians and much of the hard-core base may really believe there was widespread fraud that made the difference.

Most GOP voters and most everyone else understands that Trump lost and is waiting for him to get a grip and move on.

Yeah, the Libertarians got like 5 times as many votes as the Green Party, last I checked. A Libertarian won a state house seat in Wyoming (only the fifth ever and the first in 20 years) and one got 33% against Tom Cotton, which is the best showing for the LP in a federal race ever.

I would have enthusiastically voted for Justin Amash, and gave him money when he was exploring a candidacy. As it is I was fine with my write in for Romney, him having voted for impeachment and marched in a BLM protest (aside from Biden having said in 2012 he would put black folks back in chains, which was not an insignificant hurdle for me to get to a Biden vote). As it is, JoJo got more votes than any LP except Gary Johnson in 2016.

I did appear in the Republican Voters Against Trump ads that aired in swing states immediately leading up to the election, evidence is that the effort to pull off the persuadable 2016 voters was successful. The difference between RVAT and the Lincoln Project is that RVAT was pissed that Mattis and GWB et al stood by and did nothing, whereas Lincoln Project is trying to get Ossoff elected.

I also had my name turned in by RVAT to a voting rights org they partnered with to be a plaintiff in a voting rights lawsuit against Greg Abbott, specifically on the one mail in drop box per county rule, though I ultimately was not selected (and I admit would not have been the most sympathetic plaintiff).

Two things at work. GA is perceived by both Ds and Rs as a "get out the base" election. (Seems completely wrong to me, but what do I know.)

GOP wants to keep Trump Nation riled up until as close to January 5 as it can to get out the vote. (Pence is headed there next week to campaign for Loefler and Perdue.)

This just happens to dovetail with Trump's crazy plan to try to overturn the election or delegitimize it in the process.

Unsurprisingly, Trump plays the useful idiot.

You and Sebby have some crystal clear understanding of what "most" Trump voters feel, but you disagree. I think it might help if you both disclose the source for your certainty of how these people feel?

I removed the old garbage disposal and replaced it with a new one last night.

I have no idea what most Trump voters feel. I offered what I was told is the GOP's strategy in regard to Trump's legal challenges to the election and PR effort to delegitimize it.

I was given that information by someone who worked for W and whose parent worked in the Reagan and HW White Houses. This person could be wrong, but it's a good source, and the strategy makes sense.

As to what Trump voters feel? Um, dejected perhaps? Maybe angry? I did not vote for Trump, so I can only offer what I feel:

1. Happy we'll have sanity
2. Happy we'll have split govt that may have to do deals and won't do anything radical and foolish which will create terrible results down the road via the law of unintended consequences
3. Happy that the voting results embarrassed the media and pollsters who deserve to lose their last stitch of credibility
4. Happy to see the extremists who screamed that Trump voters were all racists embarrassed by the results of this election
5. Happy to not have to listen to 24/7 Trump for the next four years
6. Happy to not have to listen to 24/7 anti-Trump hysterics for the next four years

And while we're at it, Keith and the Expensive Winos are re-releasing an expanded "Live at the Hollywood Palladium." This makes me insanely happy.

As far as live records go, holy shit is it a classic. And Sarah Dash, who sings on "Make No Mistake," might have the silkiest voice in rock. Brilliant.

If I attempted that, the collateral damage that I would cause would require replacement of the entire house. But I have other valuable skills, such as the ability to listen to old funk and soul songs and identify which hip hop songs sampled them.

Oh I sliced my finger - it was like the SNL skit with Dan Aykroyd as Julia Child.

Not seeing what Sebby said that disagrees with me. I said that most GOP voters (which is mostly synonymous with Trump voters) understand that Trump lost. I was basing that statement on polling I saw, perhaps this one.

Quote:
The Reuters/Ipsos national opinion survey, which ran from Saturday afternoon to Tuesday, found that 79% of U.S. adults believe Biden won the White House. Another 13% said the election has not yet been decided, 3% said Trump won and 5% said they do not know.

The results were somewhat split along party lines: about six in 10 Republicans and almost every Democrat said Biden won.

If you get the same model, it’s not hard. By which I mean I successfully did it by myself without collateral damage or the usual need to do it thrice.

I changed make/model -- upgraded to 3/4 HP. I learned at my last cocktail party that having a 1/2 HP disposal is like having non-Wolf appliances.
