I can't believe you'd go to OK and not come to MN to see it with me. I need someone to tell me when it isn't too gory to look, although from the reviews it appears that may be for only a fraction of the movie. I saw the book Mel put out with stills from the movie. Looked like they had a sale on red paint.

And back to the earlier discussion of kitchen appliances etc., my newest favorite cooking tool is the Microplane grater/zester. I'm pretty sure that anyone who believes something else works as well for grating hard cheeses or chocolate or for zesting lemons, limes or oranges, should just stick to making toast.

IMHO, that makes grated parmesan TOO fluffy. I prefer this:

but am thinking of getting this:

because the first one makes it kinda fluffy too. Also, when using the finer graters, remember that if you are measuring the cheese by volume that you need to squish it down b/c of the fluff factor, or figure out the weight equivalent.

I like the microplane for citrus zest because it holds the zest kinda inside it and for stuff like nutmeg b/c it's so sharp and fine.

As if this country needed more wingnuts. You just wait. 2005 will be the year of the Christian movie.

But wait, you might say. Don't the jews control Hollywood? True dat, but it's Jews who want to be associated with a number one movie. And if that means making wingnut propoganda, let's roll tape.

Fucking fuck fuck.
Hmm. I do some technical advisor work on the side. Remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Hank, this is not your best work. I am, frankly, disappointed.

Please try to do better next time.

In other news, has anyone seen the new Tiger Woods commercial where he takes on the Bill Murray role of groundskeeper Carl Spackler in a Caddyshack takeoff, complete with slurred speech and gopher? The clip I saw of it was abso-fucking-lutely hilarious...
What was the commercial for? By the way, didn't catch the re. line at first- that was funny.

Staples, Randy. Very easy.

He was too good in the role, so that he seemed a stereotype. He never got the role in any decent mob movies.

Fuck you Starbucks

Calling an Americano an "Americano" in America just pisses me off. We're in America jerkasses.

I bet SS owns Starbucks, b/c they are taking over the world.

Has Starbucks ruined NYC too? All the cafes in Chicago have disappeared. Still some great ones left, but my Fred...

And now I have to deal with them when I'm in Paris? I hate them and their addicting coffee that tastes like burnt cow shit.

Do people order "Americanos" (or Americani) in the US? I mean, isn't that a concoction by the italians for americans to satisfy a desire for a big cup of coffee, instead of a demi-tasse, when you don't have drip machines?

Second SbUX q: Are the beans different/better than any old coffee shop (for the same type of bean, e.g., Kenya AA)? Or are they just charging $3 more per pound for atmosphere there too?

BTW, how does one pronounce WTF? Wuh-tiff? Withph? Either way, seeing the Passion doesn't get you out off hell for all the strippers.

BUt yeah, the best commercial ever. When it got the RJ stuff I almost peed my pants.

Hey King of All Media, who the fuck is RJ? Are acronyms on nonobvious people really necessary? At what point will Scarlett J become SJ?

I will not drink Starbuck's coffee, and not just because I worked on the Peet's IPO. It just tastes bad. Real bad. Like coffee should never taste.

Now give me a Dunkin' Donuts on every corner, and I'll be happy. Or I'll think I'm in Boston, buy hey...same diff.
