It all becomes clearer. You represent the Norm Podhoretz and the Irving Kristol wing of the Board.

I dunno about Nasty, but Quick sounds appropriate.
So do guys feel ripped off that they can't just pay for the max 15 min of the movie that they actually use? This of course presumes PPV with no TIVO or other recording medium. E.g., in a hotel room.

I'm sure you've been on the politics board long enough to hear someone say how markets always prevail. Sure, there are places that play movies in more realistic time increments. But it's a pain in the ass carrying that many quarters around. And as soon as you think you've found a free stall, you discover that Hank has "forgotten" to lock the door again. It makes it so creepy and embarrassing when he calls me into the office the next day. Given the choice, convenience is a virtue.
Why? What'd I miss at the end?

One thing I have learned from hanging out with musicians is just how differently people hear music. Last night, there were a couple of performances I really liked that the SO absolutely hated.
Having the Funk Brothers perform as the band covered up a multitude of vocal sins (Jasmine).
I thought Fantasia was really good, the OM hated her.
I listened to only parts of John Stevens because thirty seconds of his singing last night made me want to kill myself. How could someone so young be so soul deadening?
JPL cannot sing, at all, but he's going to stay in for a while.
I cannot stand to watch Amy Adams and Jennifer Hudson perform. Their facial expressions irritate me so completely, I have to turn away from the television.
I adore LaToya London.
It's hard to imagine who will capture the hearts of America the way Clay did. JPL seems an obvious choice, but the whole inability to sing thing hurts him. Perhaps America will unite behind the soulless sugary Diana DeGarmo.
Last thought about AI: it's so much better (1) on the dvr (2) after a drink or two.

Nobody can say that John sang well last night. nobody. but he will get millions of votes and won't be in the bottom 3 b/c he's young and cute and angsty and people feel sorry for him being raked over the coals when he seems like such a nice kid.
Say what you will, at least the final three last year could all sing. I'm scared to death we are going to have a final 3 this year that includes JPL and John Stevens and it will be partly my fault b/c I voted for JPL in the wildcard round b/c he made me laugh. Now my ears bleed every time he sings, but it's too late, I can't take back the votes.
Bottom three prediction: Camile (please god), Jennifer Hudson and Amy Adams. I'm hoping there will be a surprise and JPL or John will be in there, but I doubt it.

And every drummer likes Tool b/c their music is so mathematical. It sounds like random crap to me, by my drummer buddy has sat me down and "counted" through a few of their tunes to show me how organized their music is. Apparently they are phenomenal musicians.

I once messed around with a chick for a time who insisted that the mere sight of a man nude but for socks was enough to turn her completely off, even in the midst of foreplay.
I personally think the most repulsive male nudeness is a pantless man in a t-shirt. There's just something wrong about a guy being solely bottomless. I can't even walk around the house wearing only a t-shirt. It just feels improper.

Tool is awful. Mathematically perfect music has zero soul. Tool might as well be New Order.
The human infatuation with organization amazes me. Chaos is so much more interesting. You'll never read or hear anyone say "There is nothing in the world like a Tool show."*

My Cover
Outkast doing Lionel Ritchie's "All Night Long". The song AND the video. I'm serious. I saw the video last night on BET -- just hilarious. And I think Outkast could make it funnier.

This is basically what I said. Just b/c it's mathematical doesn't mean it sounds great.
I think you have to be a drummer to understand.

I invented "pantless man with shirt on" is the most unattractive look. And on this board too.
Or maybe it was "a man is at his most vulnerable when he's wearing a shirt but no pants". ETA it's probably b/c he feels like he's wearing a nighty.

I have heard drummers laud Rush and Metallica and other bands with impressive drumming. Hell, I've even got a friend who claims Phish is great because their drummer changes tempo constantly and the band shifts with him seamlessly. So what? They still suck (although I'd see 50 Phish shows before I'd see Tool).
I think Metallica's drumming is good because its effective. It just pounds the songs forward. The dude from Rush is always trying too hard - too many beats all over the place. That's only good if you're a jazz drummer... or you're Keith Moon.
The best of the best was John Bonham. The Zeppelin BBC sessions are insane. Listen to the drums on Thank You.

We know, but I'm surprised you are bragging about it. Maybe if you put some oven mitts on your feet it will improve the look . . .
