I probably don't have to tell you this Flinty, but you have to watch yourself on those sites when playing for $$$.
A few pros working together at a table online while simultaneously sharing their hole cards with each other by phone or other means can really clean somebody out if they coordinate their actions well.

Annoying Christmas songs

Not me.
Personally, I'm still trying to figure out why all the guys in another song are so turned on by this girl who apparently makes very good milkshakes and wants to charge people for the recipe...

When you're done with that, can you tell me why that girl can't use her own roller skate key?

Yeah, thanks for looking out for me. But I generally play low limit, and between the blinds and the rake, and the generally small pots, it wouldn't make economic sense to cheat there. Now, at the 5/10, or 10/20 tables, I can see it being a problem. Unfortunately, I can blame most of my losses squarely on my poor decision making. But I think of it as my lessons, and I'm learning fast.
When will we see you on True Poker -- the play money tables? ncs says she owns you.
Best,
Flinty

No, no, let him continue. The yoke of lameness weighs heavy on my shoulders. The spectre of former greatness haunts my dreams and shadows my ev'ry waking moment. I am a broken man, face drawn, with a sickly, wan, pallor. I have bookmarked each of my 2001 posts, as well as the posts of the same era containing the adulation of other posters. I have read them so many times, their images have been burned into my computer screen, not to mention my brain. I have spent countless hours staring at blank "Post Reply" screens, trying desperately to think of something witty, some trifling bon mot that could reverse my harrowing descent into irrelevancy. But every time I type, all that comes out is "Indeed. Carry on." Please, let Penske carry this weight in 2004, for it is him I have to blame for all of this. Concidentally.
|
The irony you are both missing here is that I can't be the PLF of 2004 as PLF is the Penske of 2002. Face it, by the time Plated outed me as the Shadow, my best posts were behind me, the great socks, the great Ks, done, gone, history. I had jumped the shark of jumping the shark by the time this show rolled over here.
On the bright side, maybe ncs can be the PLF of 2004.
Tally ho'!

Considering I haven't been on there yet, that's unlikely, though Mrs. Hand might rent me out on occasion under the pseudonym "Big Slick"...
I'll be on when work stops kicking my ass, I finish the World Poker Tour marathon I Tivo'd (the gift went over HUGE by the way), Positively Fifth Street, a guide provided to me by an acquaintance who writes a gaming column for a major midwestern newspaper and some private tutoring by Phil Ivey.
Only then will I feel sufficiently ready to take a seat at that table.

I think this is a question for Less/Thurgreed/Other Lechs with Formulas for Picking Up Underage Girls.
So why do you think playing with your own key is no fun?

AoN, "jumping the shark" is an interesting concept on a chat board filled with lawyers.
