I meant that the lefties often attack segments of Christianity here. We don't take offense, at least in part because Ty/Atticus/others(?) are more religious than at least bilmore or me.

That doesn't mean the things they are saying wouldn't be offensive to someone with strict born agian beliefs.

Usually to my Catholic buddies I go with "fucking Catholic freaks" but that's not very colorful.

Maybe something with pointy hats? You know, those enormous things that cardinals or bishops or whatever wear. Or would that pull in the Episcopalians as well?

Clubby, could you do a quick list of who you are tired of (bored with, sick of, whatever)? Gracias.

Jeeze, you guys are pathetic. (Or science majors.) History and literature are littered with wonderful catholic slurs.

Papist is good, but why stop there? "Ignorant priest-ridden papists"? Then it's an easy seque into "superstitous, illiterate priest-ridden peasants." "Ignorant, priest-ridden papists, breeding like scum on a stagnant pond"?

Comments about how they worship (or are, in the case of the clergy) the Whore of Babylon are always good, and have a longstanding tradition behind them.

"Morbid, cannibalistic barbarians, fixated on tormenting Christ every Sunday for mass" hits the whole transubstantiation thing.

Those wanting to insult catholics are at a disadvantage, though, because Catholics themselves have such wonderful insults to dish out. I am particularly fond of an old spanish insult: you shit on the 24 testicles of the apostles. Proddies have nothing that can match that for sheer imagination.

Parade Car Hits Pedestrians in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. — A convertible sped through an intersection during the city's St. Patrick's Day parade (search) Wednesday, slamming into three members of a marching band and spectators who lined the parade route. At least 12 people were injured.

The car was attempting to pass another group in the parade when it sped through the marching band and into the crowd of parade watchers near the center of downtown Savannah (search), said Bucky Burnsed, police spokesman.

"We were sitting here ... smiling and having a good time, then all of a sudden, bam, this guy comes tearing through the parade and smashes into the band," said Bobby Johnson of New York.

Okay St. Patty's day Parade- veeeeerrrrry bad driving- what are you guys thinking was the reason?

So did the Police.

The driver was questioned by police, Burnsed said. Investigators ruled out alcohol, but it was not immediately known if the driver had a health condition.

There were certainly more personas on the Stalin Board, but that alone does not meaningful political debate make.

Full of monikers like "Hillary's Big Ol' Butt," that board's falcons do not always hear their falconer*, and the centre rarely holds**. This board is smaller, and it'd always be good to see fresh republican meat that doesn't turn squeamish in the face of central GOP tenets -- but all in all, I think this board is the better alternative.

Radio reports from a week or so ago reported the detainees' breathless promises to detail the abominable treatment they received at Gitmo.

Compared with the generally positive reports coming from other prisoners from time to time (saying that it's nice to be, you know, *fed* more regularly than what they could get in Afghanistan) , I'm imagining that this is all relative, and that these Britmos' stories of scandalous treatment in prison may be, oh, just a touch politically motivated.

Was High Tea a condition mentioned in the Geneva Convention?
