I think you are being generous. THis board is a bumch of bandwagoneers. Oh someone said something stupid and nonsensical, I think I will say it too bc it confirms my insiderness. Its all so Slave circa 2001. WHy not get the word FRED tattooed to your arm or chest or someplace visible like frat letters, the ultimate in tooltime?

Your sole purpose is to make TM happy?

So, it's your fault.

Happy Go Texan Day

Just in case I forgot, I was forcibly reminded that I live in Texas when I went to go work out this morning and found my usual part of the park inaccessible because of the trail riders. Horses all over the place. Guess the rodeo is in town.

The good news is that this means that the barbeque cookoff is tomorrow.

Angels and Freds

With all of the Fred talk going on, I was surprised that no one commented on Angel. I kind of liked Fred. Now she's dead. But the demon looks pretty cool. And blue.

1. That's different because I'm doing it to annoy him specifically. And he needs to be annoyed because he's an idiot.

2. Find the last time I did it. If it wasn't within the last week, shut the fuck up.

You havent done it since I told you to cut that shit out a couple of weeks ago. And if you want him to shut the fuck up, you should IM Slafve and tell him to tell Coltrane since Slave is his mentor.

Fuck Me Starbucks

I'm with Barely. Maybe it's because I remember Starbucks when it was still a small operation, but I've got no real problem with their coffee. Not my favorite (Stumptown for local, Pete's for chain), but it's dependable. I think people forget that it hasn't always been this easy to get a decent cup of coffee or espresso drink. I lived in DC before Starbucks moved east, and I missed it. Outside of a very few small places and some high-end restuarants, most people were drinking dishwater.

I'm not an everyday Starbucks drinker, but I'm glad they're around.

I'm not sure that using flower's "hey, Mr. ____-____-____" line in criticising his indie-ness is your strongest tool.

Actually, Flower's use is derivative of my previous use Mister-Early-Onset-Alzheimers.

I really think they have injected extra caffeine into their coffee . . .

Fact.

I too use it as a drug delivery system and enjoy hearing the little yuppie princesses command "no foam non fat skim soy latte decaf and make it snappy mommy needs it bad"

Huh. I'm not quite sure how to handle it when people agree with me. I feel like praising The Passion or something to get things back on track.

btw, was it you who mentioned Rodney Crowell in a post a few weeks back? I didn't respond at the time b/c I was behind but I hope you weren't being sarcastic. I love Rodney Crowell but I've never heard anybody else talk about him (off the radio) ever.
