Small point: A guy who's allegedly sexually harassing people below him might or might not belong in office. Since you're a litigator, I assume you did not mean otherwise. I don't want to live in a world where public officials have to step down because such a claim is made and is difficult to disprove.
I don't know why he stepped down, but I would hesitate to attribute it to the actual merits of the harassment claim. More likely the Democratic party gave him the "dead girl/live boy" speech and advised him that he would be unable to weather the fallout from the revelation he is gay, and would endanger the party's ability to retain the governor's office. I take it the party has a strong hold on the office notwithstanding his resignation; this probably played a role in the decision.

Maybe he's resigning so he can be on Kerry's "staff"!

Something that has haunted me since childhood, and the 15th and last day of each month:
"Pay me! Lawyer's salary, please."
Damn you Milton Bradley, damn you to hell.

The guy faced up to a decision he had been denying for decades, apologized to his family and accepted the consequences of his actions. All this iinstead of stonewalling, backpedalling, spinning or waffling.
I'm just impressed with a politician who can face up to his mistakes. Maybe integrity was the wrong word. The guy has some balls, though.

No. That jingle is still going on so it's not something from your youth. You and PLF are not understanding the poll question. Anarchy is about to commence.
You have to say something like "GE, we bring good things to life!" or "you're soaking in it!" or for str8 and me "Blue smiles along with you" or something like that.

When you're smiling . . . oh when you're smiling . . .

Would you be that impressed if it turns out that he was forced into this situation after allowing himself to be blackmailed? This story at least suggests that his accuser wanted an "exorbitant sum" of hush money to make the issue go away.
The thing that disturbs me about the story is that he apparently appointed an unqualified foreign national to be in charge of New Jersey's homeland security program. That is inexcusable.

Begging the question that if 9/11 had happened in 1996, would Monica Lewinsky now have Tom Ridge's job?

Oh, and besides this scandal, he's been under the gun to resign for a few months now, as all of his largest contributors are being indicted.
I mentioned this on the PB last month. Link

This, combined with the poll of the day, has resulted in the following NewsRadio moment being stuck in my head:
LISA: Sex and gender are the same thing
MAX: Au contraire. I'd much rather have sex than gender
LISA: Well, since you have neither, that must be very sad for you.
I need someone to repost the Calgon commercial or something to get this crap out of there.
