Your anecdotal evidence varies from mine. I've done the hookah tobacco smoking thing at some middle eastern restaurant (and PLF will confirm that I am no hipster), and the two friends I've had who were seriously into that sort of thing (both of them with the apple or other fruit tobacco) were non-hipster chicks. One's an ex-stripper, who wouldn't know hipster if PLF walked up and slapped her in the fake tits (NTTAWWT) and the other is a kareoke-loving, board-game-party hosting non-hipster, who also enjoys the pot, but not from a hookah.
I guess my mileage varies.
I wouldn't want to clean one either, but my aging bong was never very well maintained, so there you go. |
