I knew you and Atticus were close and all, but I didn't think you'd actually merge into a single being. It's kind of interesting. But I'm not sure if the mix is ying and yang. More like ying and yinger.

I'm thinking sports betting takes a hit, but I suppose that would require the betters to be rational.
NBA let that shit go on for 18 months and did nothing. Shows some regard for the integrity of the game.

Wait, I predict that you will see this guy rat out other refs. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw this spread to the NFL too.

The NFL is so laden with suspect flags, I have virtually lost all interest. Games aren't decided on the field, they are decide by yellow flag after yellow flag.

BTW, how is this calculated? If your wife took a separate cab to the airport, the cost would be about the same as if you rode together in a car?*

* I think your research needs to be more rigorous. Next time you're going out of town together, suggest you take separate cabs to the airport to see whether it's cheaper than hiring a car together.
How would that even be a fair test? Obviously they took one car to the airport, so the test would be taking one cab. Maybe the "extra person" charge in Chicago is really high?

Or Coltrane is really high.

Really, really high? Like the same for each person? Even DC, which has one of the least sensible taxi systems in the nation, adds only $1 for each person, unless they're going to different addresses, in which case each person pays the fare as if they were an individual passenger.

They call too many pass interference penalties in the NFL, but that was policy set by the league to generate more offense. Now teams just throw the ball downfield just hoping for contact and a flag. Receivers have gotten good about drawing contact, just like a guy driving the lane in the NBA. I agree there are too many flags.

What's ruining the game, though, is too many commercials and too many close-ups. When they're at the line of scrimmage, you can't see where all the receivers are, or what the safeties are doing, and you can't see plays develop.

Perhaps Coltrane went to the airport with someone who was at a different starting location? So the car service went to both locations, whereas there would either be extra charges for that (mileage plus possibly a surcharge) or the need for two taxis. You and fringey seem to not be outside-the-box thinkers today. But I won't hold it against you.

In any event, my non-scientific random survey has found that car services in large cities typically only run about $10 more than taxis to/from the airport (especially if the airport is far away). Although I've heard horror stories about car service charges from OC to LA.

Dissent. What's ruining the game is Tom Coughlin managing to keep his job.

The box is my happy place.

I do not mean the box that (absent hair removal) has a bush outside.

.
I think Coltrane is doing some Enron-style out-of-the-box cost accounting on the car service.
