your doctor and wife may buy that shit, but here's 5 bucks that says we'd find evidence of Twinkies if we checked your fingernails.

This isn't an accurate statement of my reasons or of my conclusion but I'm going to drop it because you're being obtuse and defensive.
(And don't say "how am I any more obtuse and defensive that you have been?" That line of argument gets pretty tired.)

Indeed. I envy your position on the moral high ground and wouldn't want to inflict my tiresomeness on that paradise.

I like square brackets. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and brings out the corporate side of me, like it is a PPM or something.

I'd give her a half the house head start but I was still first to the cake plate.

You are proving my point about the defensiveness. I didn't think I was moralizing here, but am willing to concede that I have come across that way about this topic, especially in the past.

"Tough tootsie rolls"? Please tell me you did not really fucking write that. The mere thought that someone wrote that is almost enough to make my sinuses implode and my nervous system melt.

You are just jealous that you aren't getting the male attention you crave. It probably has something to do with that tough tootsie roll of yours.

I like the expression. As a child, I would eagerly anticipate Christmas. Chrismas morning was a magical time, all the family together with the beautiful decorations, the wondrous smells, and, of course, the brightly wrapped presents under the tree. I would always save some of the candy I'd received in my stocking, as if tasting the candy in the months to come would bring me back to that wonderful time. Come February, cold and gray and desolate, I would break open my cache, only to find that it had gone stale and tasteless, the chalky taste reminding me of my bleak, bitter, and empty existence on every other day of the year.
Tough. Tootsie. Rolls.

Are you going to be spending Christmas this year hailing cabs for tips? Because I bet the tips will be really good.
