Your explanation assisted me in avoiding confusion.
If you say the Indian mangos are good, I will track them down.
Non sequitur.

It looks like our window of opportunity for Indian mangos has closed for this year, according to this article.
http://travel2.nytimes.com/2006/05/1...bailetter.html
That is, if the import ban on Indian mangos was ever lifted, as the article suggests it was going to be. I will follow up on that.

It most definitely was lifted.
I have not left the house yet, and therefore am not up on the potato chip situation. Actually I'm not normally a big potato chip eater; yesterday was a time of stress. This morning I had 2 boiled eggs and some oatmeal.

It was! And according to the article below, they are just hitting U.S. stores now. Exciting news. I will find these mangos and report back.

You are going out to do that RIGHT NOW, yes? Because I sense my day will need a lift. Assuming I make it out of the house.

I cannot right now because of this stupid motherfucking mango cockblock of a job. But I am doing some research. One report says Whole Foods will not be carrying them because they are irradiated.
Here's a good article:

I have altered my shopping habits to go to grocery stores that are more likely to have a large supply of quality mangos. I would never, never serve them in a frozen margarita. But try the mango margaritas I make on the rocks, or up in a martini glass. Don't call them emasculating, though, or Mark E Smith will rip your balls off.

I tried to resist. I knew that if I gave into temptation that my life would change forever. I would never be the same, people would look upon me as different. But it was a yearning that went beyond desire, it was an actual physical need.
I placed my lips tentatively around the straw. Nothing happened at first, so I inhaled sharply, drew in my cheeks and went to work at that straw. It came up slowly, the first drop giving me a taste of what was in store. Suddenly I was rewarded with a mouthful of Mangoey goodness that I could feel through my entire body. I drank greedlily, as if my life depended on it, draining the vessel of the last juicy, flavorful drop. I was hooked an couldn't wait for my next one.
Could've used some salt, though.

When I left this morning, my elderly neighbor had been in the garden since dawn - he is mostly working on the grass that seems to have taken hold amidst the creeping phlox and between the cracks in the bricks.
We are having a friend bring back some nice ink drawings from China as a gift to say thank you.
I feel for your loss.
