You said if Johnson "were to try to do that to him." So, while it would be a penalty on Johnson if he were to tackle him while Green was still acting in his role as a quarterback, as soon as Green throws an interception or there is a fumble, that rule is off and he's just like everybody else and can be blocked in the same manner.

There are skill sets involved in all four sports and all of them are quite difficult to master. I don't think you can meaningfully discuss whether it is more difficult to throw a perfectly placed line drive pass while off balance and under pressure, drive to the hoop for a perfect lay up while being fouled hard, or volley the ball into the upper corner of the net with your weak foot while being double covered.

Keep trying with this joke. One of these days, it's going to score big.

This from a guy who plays a sport where a perfectly placed scoring ball is called a "swish."

I meant in his role as quarterback.
Why would Johnson be going after a quarterback unless he were acting as a quarterback? The only scenario where I could see that happening is maybe after a interception or fumble recovery, and then obviously all qb protection rules are off. Otherwise, a defensive player can't tackle an offensive player that doen't have the ball, so it'd still be a penalty (though probably a 10 yard hold type penalty instead of a 15). (See, generally, rule 4).

a perfectly placed shot is called a dunk. a dead on shot makes the sound of "swish," and sometimes a player might ape the sound by yelling "swish," but no one would call the shot a swish.
maybe your spin room is just off the basketball gym in your health club, and you frequently hear the b-ball guys talking about " A swish", but trust me they aren't referring to anything that steps on a basketball court.

quarterbacks try to block sometimes, say on a sweep or a reverse, and most defensive players look at that as an opportunity to tee off on them.
in my school the quarterback wore a bright yellow jersey at practice. that was so we all saw him and knew we couldn't hit him. still the little fucker would sometimes come up and fire block at the guy who couldn't hit him. little fucking Brian Nelson caused every defensive player at old BHS to want to knock out any quarterback that ever tried to block them. i knew it wasn't mentally healthy to transfer aggression that way, but I had no alternative.

I was going to be quiet about this because I don't want to jinx it, but it's been a slow day so whatever. So, after months and years of waiting, I finally had sex with the cute guy from the gym over the weekend. Yay me. Take that, haters. And in a shocking development, he actually wants to see me again. I had, however, forgotten about his tattoo of an ex-girlfriend's name partially covered up by a tattooed "void" stamp. It's weird to look at someone else's name when you are fucking, even if it does have "void" stamped across it. Anyway, I want to have one million of his babies, so send good thoughts my way. thank you.

I understood. Quarterbacks need extra protection because (i) they're smaller than everyone else and (ii) they are almost always in a particularly vulnerable position.

Why do you keep quoting the rulebook at me? And you just said exactly what I said in my last post. If there is a turnover, quarterbacks get blocked just like everyone else. The fact that they don't get blocked as much as lineman isn't really relevant.
You said Johnson would get flagged for doing the same thing to Green. Then you gave me an example of something that isn't "the same thing" (i.e., tackling below the knee). I said he wouldn't be penalized because he'd only be blocking Green after a turnover and therefore would be treated the same as Green was on his block.
This conversation has gotten out of hand. I don't even think we're arguing.

I am going to get one more tattoo. Have I mentioned that here?
And then, according to the ABBA rule, I will have to become a stripper.

No, the 26 yo is the one who asked me out, but I turned him down. This guy is about Coltrane's age, I suspect. I don't know for sure. Early 30s -- remote possibility of late 20s.
