the politics board I invented at Infirmation.com has more industry dap than this place. that is a start spanky. After that, perhaps they want to take on the DU?

Doesn't seem that crazy to me. I just don't know where to send them.

Let them spend some time here, and they'll give up on the whole "the Internet is useful" notion.

Islam: A Religion of Peace and Tolerance part 1,349
Notwithstanding Adder's mos excellent jab at my influence, recently, as part of my real life compassionate multi-polar communitarianism, I have become acquainted with some of the leaders of the local Iranian-Muslim community (yes, the elusive moderate freedom loving muslims) who are involved with freedom movements in the land of their ancestry (eg: RadioFree Iran et al, outable, outable). One of my allies over there sent me some pictures of Muslims who marched throughout the streets of London during a recent Religion of Peace Demonstration.
Apparently, these pictures have never been shown by our MSM because the MSM does not want to paint the true picture of what is going on in the world and especially never wants to offend any of its comrades in the anti-America movement.
I share these pictures with y'all today, in the hopes of fostering an understanding of what is truly going down on the Arab street.

As I recall, Bush I wasn't attempting to do nation-building in Somalia -- it was a humanitarian mission that later expanded into combat operations agains warlords. I can't find any suggestion on the internet that Clinton criticized GHWN for Somalia, but since Wikipedia (hi Penske!) says that the US Army's involvement began on December 3, 1992, a month after the election, it seems unlikely that Clinton did what you say. If you can point me to something else about it, I'm happy to take a look.
I take your word for it on China's MFN's status.
On Haiti, I can believe that Clinton criticized aspects of Bush's Haiti policy. But given the Democratic constituency to which he was pandering, I find it hard to believe he was criticizing nation-building, rather than specific policy choices. I can't find anything on the internets about Clinton criticism of Bush on Haiti. Wikipedia says that Aristide was elected in 1991, and I don't recall U.S. nation-building there in 1991 or 1992 -- Aristide did not get a lot of support from the GOP, to my recollection, maybe rightly so. Again, maybe you could point me to something specific.

Why do you wish to remain ignorant? The evidence and the pleas for help are coming from the elusive moderate muslims, whom, you are unable to produce, yet I interact with everyday in my community to further the cause of cooperative intercultural interfaith understanding at home and freedom in the ME.
Are you doing this? Certainly there must be plenty of moderate Muslimic groups to interact with in DC, yes?
Again, why the desire to remain ignorant of the truth?

Though only a resident of Southern CA for a short time, you've clearly both received and absorbed the Historical Reasons to Hate Northern CA Manual. Good going, Fringey!

So what you're saying is that they should wait for the next one, let the bridge collapse, and stick the southland with a chunk of the bill?
BTW, is anyone outraged that Baton Rouge may bear some of the costs of rebuilding new orleans?

Or they can suck it up and deal with it. Bridge falling apart because not made to withstand current amount of traffic and/or not properly maintained so as to withstand current amount of traffic is distinguishable from earthquake. Plus that 89 quake.
Fucking northerners.
Anyway, you have no dog in this fight. Butt out. Or, since gwink doesn't come over here, Butt. Out.

How is it distinguishable? Highways not built to withstand predicted earthquake vs. highways not built to withstand predicted traffic?

BTW, why can't you all figure out a way to divide up the state? Are you hung up on figuring who gets stuck with Bakersfield and Fresno?
