For your Meagan's law notice, did you get to select your photo, or did they choose for you?
Certainly, pretending to incorrectly spell the name of a law that you are actually all to familiar with is typically a good strategy. One exception, however, is when you do so on a board where all of your strategies are sadly transparent.

You pay more because your ride is longer. It doesn't entitle you to an extra seat.

and can a woman have a "mullet?" I think that is just a bad haircut, but wouldn't be called a "mullet." Thoughts?

When I was in 8th grade, it was called a "bi-level," and was, for reasons I can neither explain nor condone, sought after.

If you like, I can send you my 8th grade school picture and you can photoshop the hair onto your Hank face. I would also like to see Hank in a Friendly's uniform (rrrowr!), but I may be alone in this.

The lesbian mullet is one of the classic mullets; right up there with the hockey mullet and camaro hair.

What I try to do is answer every question like I think he is talking to me.

"Hi How are you?"

"Shitty, I have herpes."

"Did you get the Jones proposal?"

"Yes but it was all fucked up. Whaddya have the careerbuilder monkeys work on it?"

You can tell a lot by what a sock writes. Generally the more sensitive to criticism, the more upset they get when you talk about real sports, manly drinks, or other men in professions that require physical strength and the quicker they are to accuse you of being dumb, the less masculine they are.

If they are manly, they are not threatened by sports and man talk (because they think they can engage) and therefore find such topics interesting. They are less sensitive because they have been more equal when it comes to relationships with manly men and are less bitter about the way they have been treated by such men. And the liberal talk of the girly sports? - well I think we have all seen what sort of "man" attends a spin class.
My guess from what they have posted:

plf - not so manly.

Do you think anyone has ever asked one of plf's friends if plf is gay?

The actress can't pull of what is probably a complex character in the book (or should be) and she doesn't have much to work with. The two other cops aren't bad.

The whole show is Dexter. And Michael C. Hall is very good. The actor who plays his father is also very good. It is definitely worth watching, but, aside from these two characters, not because of the casting decisions.

Granted, I only saw one episode, but I didn't mind the sister or the lieutenant. I will watch some more...

My uncle and his girlfriend dated for years. He's a mechanic and I think that she worked at the counter inside at the Sears* he worked at outside of Philly when they met. My brother and my sister went to college on the east coast, so they'd go to grandmother's house for the difficult-to-travel-long-distance holidays. My uncle lives not too far from my grandmother. I'm a bad granddaughter/niece, and I haven't made it within 100 miles of my grandmother's house in 23 years. I never got the opportunity to meet my uncle's girlfriend, but my brother and sister did on several occassions.

Anyhow, after fifteen or so years together, the girlfriend abruptly left my uncle. It was an odd relationship in that they put the down payment on a house together, but she never moved in. Something about a sick aunt and being catholic.

I digress.

I had a conversation with my grandmother shortly after the breakup, and my grandmother bitterly said that Joanne was a lesbian and shouldn't have been stringing my uncle along all these years. I defended Joanne, saying that there was evidence to the contrary (dating my uncle) on that assertion. My grandmother retorted that the guys in the shop were convinced that she was a lesbian. I said that they were just looking for something mean to say about the woman who left my uncle. My grandmother ended the conversation with a characteristic sniff and stood her ground. She even said "I don't have anything against lesbians or anything, they just shouldn't date your uncle" which made my jaw drop.**

I reported this conversation to my brother and my sister, looking for confirmation that I was right and my grandmother was wrong. Their response: "Oh, hell yeah. That woman was a bull dyke if I've ever seen one." They showed me a picture I'd seen before, and I had to confess that I'd just attributed the mullet, the flannel and the rest of the look to being from outside of Philly.

I was sort of blown away that my grandmother's gaydar is in somewhat working order.

Incidently, JoAnne is in a convent now. I have no idea if she's one of the nuns that covers her mullet with a habit or not.

*Sears laid him off the year before he'd made his 20 years in order to vest in the pension. Motherfuckers.

**My grandmother is the only person on the planet that doesn't know my brother is gay. This is mainly to protect my mother from blame. "I told you you shouldn't have let him take art lessons and taught him how to cook." Some things are easier left alone.

I will say that I agree that lesbians should not be dating my uncle.
