By the way, where does the Klan fall on your scale - worse than frats, better than frats, or pretty much the same thing?
you know how the Klan often hires black lawyers to defend it, try and confuse the jury? I'm thinking Flower might be able to get work out of this Phelps guy.

He might have to forego his traditional victory hug, but still there is some decent money there.

I am guessing it depends on the frat.

today's wardrobe

Leopard-print boots. Kick.ass. Anecdotal evidence tells me that they are appreciated by both women and men. Score! If dtb were here we could have a makeout party with our boots. I wish I could post a picture of their awesomeness, but alas, the internet is not co-operative.

I am a long time out of college and I still find the word "frat" horrible.

"Fraternity", people. Is that so hard?

Surely the national chapter has/had money?

So I skipped working out at all on Weds, and last night made more of an effort to stretch plus took ibuprofen before I went to bed. I don't feel at all elderly/decrepit this morning and things only hurt if I use them.

Yay!

Argh. This is apparently a pet peeve of mine, but I didn't realize it until just now.

There is no national chapter. There is a national headquarters. It is called "National". It is not called "Nationals". The people who work there are staff. The people who run the organization are volunteers.

Volunteers? Do you hear that? We are volunteers!! And that means we don't want you to call us at 2 in the morning, no matter how bad the problem is. (Unless it's both bad and funny enough to make us laugh.)

Then why did you tear down my house, promise us a new one, and then never deliver said house? Fuck you.

This is so incredibly unsurprising, that I'm almost shocked in reverse, or whatever.

I went to a college that didn't have fraternities or sororities. I am blissfully unaware of their inner workings.

You can learn everything you need to know by watching Revenge of the Nerds.

Sadly, my chapter is among the now-defunct chapters. I think ZBT bought our house.

I've used "frat" a lot because I really couldn't imagine any reason to give the thing any formality.
