When I was in college, it had to be one syllable or most of the brothers would pass out before they got to the end of the word.

Lucky for her, she's mentioned it more than once here before, so I'm able to step in an get this information to the masses, despite my failure to understand its importance.

I found the opposite to be true at my school. Most of the people in my house had no interest in the "frat" aspect of things and just wanted to do what everybody does through college - get high, get drunk and try to get laid. No mungheads at all. Barely any rituals and we let everyone in to every party we threw.
Which is probably why the State Police shut us down senior year.

Actually, no. My sorority is in fact a sorority. One of the historically jewish sororities, which I know is also a shock to you all.
But some sororities are in fact fraternities. I admit, I don't know why.
