Did you ever notice that when people say "This is not intended to diminish the thought-provokingness of your post, Flower," it almost always is intended to diminish the thought-provokingness of my post?

he could take a 2 minute video with his digital camera.
And as for Sidd's question, of course he should break the deal. And keep us all posted.

Hey, leagl, how about setting up a web-cam viewer on the site so Sidd can share?

Done it. Insufficient.
One of the problems is that I'm a disorganized person who cures everything with money. Women seem to be more fastidious about stuff. I forget to pay the cable bill, get all sorts of parking tix, leave the bed unmade and wire stereo speakers everywhere, to the Mrs.'s dismay. Whenever anything needs to be fixed I say "Eh, lets hire somebody to take care of that." I think she'd like it if I gave a shit and was actually into taking care of house stuff. Whever she wants furniture I just go to the store and walk around bored and say "sure, whatever" to what she wants. I can't help it. I just really don't give a rat's ass about anything to do with the house. I think I get it from having amother who is in the interior design biz. Growing up she was always obsessing about shit and dragging me to antique stores when there wasn't a sitter around. I'm adverse to all that shit as a result. I don't even like to change my own tire for chrissakes. How in the hell can I paint or paper anything? And I look bad for it because all of her friends' husbands enjoy doing housewrok and keep their cars clean, etc... Me, I'm just not paying attention to shit except what interests me. I just can't pretend to be interested in anything that's not entertaining, and housework ain't entertaining.

You need more information to make this choice. Specifically, you need her reaction.
Tonight, you stand in front of your window naked.
If she soon appears at your door, then you should move on to the question of "how badly do I really need that deposit money".
If the police appear at your door, take it as further support for your initial decision to move.

I was trying to be very subtle, given that I didn't want to look like an utter creep, but still..... very enjoyable. And at some level, if you are standing buck-naked in front of a window with no shade pulled, in a densely populated neighborhood where you can see that other people are home, you really can't get all that offended if people look.
But anyway. The dilemma -- I've been in this home over 5 years. Never seen this before (not her, anyway. Saw some fat guy's butt a bunch of times, but that's a different story). And now I'm in escrow on a new home on the other side of town.
So do I break the deal in order to pursue a "Dear Penthouse" window-peeping affair?

She wants you. Take roses to her house and wear nothing but a trench coat.

Good on ya, I say. I would be the last to opine about the correctness or incorrectness of how anyone chooses to structure their homelife -- none of my bees wax.
What I was railing against yesterday, and what really irks me is the attitude that people have against SAHMs or women who don't work for whatever reason. It just pisses me off how judgmental people are about others' life choices and how quickly women who don't work outside the home are labeled "hangers on" or "hos" or what have you.
When a wife doesn't work outside the home, whether there are children or not, it most probably is the result of a joint decision between the spouses. The man who married the woman who doesn't work knows going into the marriage what the plan is (presumably) and is on board with it; if not, he probably wouldn't have married her.
Surely there are cases where the working husband wants his wife to work and she flat-out refuses, but I would guess those are the exception and not the rule.
It's just so base how BRC & Co. are so quick to call a wife who stays at home a "ho-bitch" or whatever. Mind your own fucking business.

It's not easier. It's different, to be sure, but it's not easier.
Don't tell me you haven't heard men saying it's like a vacation coming back to work after having been home for the weekend (or whatever period of time) with the kids! (I'm not saying you say that, maybe you do, maybe you don't -- but it's not an uncommon thing to hear.)

These conversations of today and yesterday have made me notice that my views on these topic have nothing to do with my personal experience.
I generally believe that women get screwed in the workplace in terms of pay. But I've never known a female who was actually getting paid less for doing equal work. In fact, my past and present wives were always the best compensated people in their departments.
I also generally believe that staying at home with the kids is hard work even when compared with paying jobs. In support of this, I've never met a stay-at-home mom who has stated that she's got it easy as compared to her working husband. But in contrast the stay-at-home dads I know (admittedly only two) say it's a cake-walk and they're just thrilled that their wives are the bread-winners.

I can't bring myself to use the Ignore function, but I have learned that I can stop reading a post (e-mail, personal letter, op-ed column, SEC filing -- well, not an SEC filing) when I hit this phrase.

Oh, and should you use a comcorder, turn off the sound so you don't pollute the video with the squishing sound.
I suggest lubriderm. Great smooth consistency. Avoid Ben Gay.

Good idea on the sound, because he'd probably have to replace it with the typical cheap Casio keyboard or seventies era (bow-chicka-bow-wow) stuff on most porn flicks anyway as the sirens get closer...

Apropos of that dogpile yesterday on Str8outtaontario,
I was given a Belle & Sebastian album a few years ago and have never checked it out, so I listened to it during my commute this morning, and I kinda liked it. So my question is, does this mean I'm gay? If so, I'm thinking I should tell my wife.

In defense of BRC and Co.("They"), I believe that They were railing at women who stay at home and then complain because their husbands don't make enough money for a new Range Rover (like Mrs. NotBob's, btw) or a country club membership or a week at Canyon Ranch where said SAHM can take Ashtanga Yoga and get six different kinds of facials.
I believe They were suggesting that these women needed to get a fucking grip, and that if they (not to be confused with They) wanted these expensive thingys, they should get a fucking job. Or at least, not harp on hubby, who is doing his best to work and take care of his family.
In this case, I believe They are correct. When a family decides it is best for a mother to stay at home, this does not give the mother license to demand that her husband become a walking ATM machine.
If I am mischracterizing the argument of They, I apologize.
