I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet...
What's up with Calvin Murphy allegedly sexually assaulting his own kids?!?
BTW, he and Shawn Kemp have something in common: Murphy has 14 kids with three different women (Kemp has 7 kids by 6 women).
edit: because I can't type...

It took me a minute to figure out what you are talking about. Now that I have it figured out, I'm getting sort of uncomfortably hot here in my office. Must investigate this dude.

These were more like tributes than remakes, but the only decent one of the bunch was the Rapper's Delight remake.

DJ Danger Mouse's "Gray Album" is an improvement upon Jay-Z on every track. I guess it's not really a cover, since the lyric track was untouched. But it was a "remake" in the sense that it was done in the same way that the original recording was "made."

I'm pretty sure he's had sex with more than 7 women.

I don't really put remixes in the same category.

Amen. I hate it almost as much as I hate the term "belly." Ever hear a grwon person say they had a bellyache? I chick I knew used to say that all the time. I nearly slapped her Charlie Murphy-style on principle several times.

They pulled him off of color commentary for Rockets games here. Rusty Hardin, who defended Anderson, is his lawyer.
This whole thing is making me begin to take the position that all professional athletes are criminals unless proven otherwise.

That's really impressive. Was there some sort of surrogate thing going on here? How does this work?
Damn, math is hard.

As with all counterpoint, these esoteric techniques require careful study of organized, math-like rules, which, when followed create music that sounds like other coherent music of that era. But none of that creates art: it is not for voices moving in retrograde motion, but for moving hearts that Bach's music is so esteemed.

You know, I had never really thought of that (having never feasted my eyes on such a sight...), but thanks for the mental image, dude. No, really.

I will now defend the use of the term belly, particularly in the word "bellyache." Surely there is no other word that adequately conveys the feeling of the phrase "quit your fuckin' bellyachin', you whiney little bitch."
BR(imagining myself dancing in a circle around Sebby in a cropped top singing "belly belly belly belly!" at him, for some bizarre reason)C

Sounds like old Calvin was hitting a lot more than just his free throws...
(NBA trivia -- he still holds the record for highest free throw percentage in a season at like 96% in 1980-81)

Heh, and he put a hex on the ball that could have broken that record in the middle of his commentary of a Rockets/Denver game. Guy missed his next two free throws.
