I compliment skirts and shoes all the time. And hair. Come to think of it, I receive zero compliments..."your head is already big enough" is what I get a lot of...

I never pictured you as a blonde.

(a) What is a "reel"? Does Stripes take up multiple DVDs? I don't recall it lasting that long. How many does it take?

(b) What if the deleted scenes are from the beginning of the movie, before it fell apart?

(c) Why can't you talk like an understandable person? Using obscure outdated terminology is really just rude.

(d) I was shocked that a 23-y-o friend knew all the words to the Dukes of Hazzard theme song. How can that be?

(e) How is it that a 23-y-o can't get it up again within a half hour?

I sometimes tell Mr Man he is cute. But he is cute, so that could be your problem.*

Me? Me of the suavey hair? I have "dirty" blonde hair down to the small of my back. There is no ABBA without the hair. I am Sampson-like that way. I bet a lot of people would not recognize me without my hair.

How young is too young? A friend of mine (my age) is dating a 20 year old. On the one hand, holy shit, is he hot. On the other, dear god, he's just a baby.

2. That review (of Celtic Woman) is hilarious. The Mr. and I saw the ad a few days ago, and he immediately said "oh, crap, that looks like some moronic Riverdance bullshit," to which I replied "but at least they aren't dancing." (He then followed up with his usual complaints about Enya sucking and how Danny Boy was written by an American. His idea of Celtic culture mainly involves headbutting, larceny-for-sport and sprinting across the line separating brave and stupid. That's the Scots version of celtic, obviously, vs. the Irish or Welsh.)

Great point. It's possible I don't have a single admirable characteristic.

I was hoping he would get it up again. And I was fairly relaxed for a time -- I kicked him out when the ceaseless yapping became grating.

We may need to make some ground rules explicit.

ETA for RT, I think 23 is too young for me to date. Based on this experience, it may also be too young for me to have a non-dating relationship with.

Confession

I think I like the new Weezer album better than I should. It is a bit wussy, but I never claimed to be a hard rock chick, so I'm okay with that.

I have "Man, you really freaked me out" (don't know what the title is) going through my head right now. Actually that should be my theme song.

ETA: other than the fact it is about abusive relationships. Really just the catchy sing-along line.

Aren't you with me in the "can't take compliments" camp? Maybe she's clued on in that and is trying to spare you some uncomfortable squirming.

(d) Maybe he's just a Waylon Jennings fan, singing one of Waylon's worst songs

(e) Unpossible

I've always liked Weezer. They're pretty good musicians. Don't be ashamed.

(d) We were discussing the Dukes of Hazzard. He also recalled more details than I did about the show.

(e) What, so that was MY fault? Thanks.
